Woo! Just seeing if any other GSU students were going to be doing NaNo this year.
I'm trying to see if we can't organize some kinda kickoff event.

Wow, wasn't expecting to see one for GSU! I tried a couple years ago and gave up after a paragraph or two, but I'm definitely going for it this year. I'm trying to convince one of my buddies to do it with me for support. =)

Yay! I'm so glad there are other people doing this on campus. I could use some support this year. I can already tell it's gonna be gnarly toward the end. Then again, the final countdown is never easy, is it? :)

Yes! I'm so excited!

I know I've convinced a friend of mine to do it as well. Hooray four people!

Another GSU student here! Hype emailed me a few days ago, and pointed me in the direction of this post :)

I'm really excited to see other GSU students are into this - it can be hard to find other WriMo's!

How's plotting going for you guys? I've had some interesting stumbles so far, but it's coming along, all the same. I've got two fails under my belt at this point, both times after racking up 10,000+ words. This year I'm determined to see it through to the bitter end!

I like the idea of a kick-off event - maybe something like lunch at Colorado's or Seasons of Japan, or something else cheap and easy?

If you wanted to do a kickoff during the day, it would be Thursday, right? The 1st?
If so then Season's sounds fine to me, we just have to figure out schedules and whatnot.

If we wanted to do a midnight kickoff, I know that I frequent Don Corleone's alot and they stay open really late. If not we could just have a meet up sometime this week and figure it out. It's always great to have buddies!

Hmm... Thursdays are hard for me. I've got class 12:30-5, and then work 6-10. Wednesday night might be a problem too, since it's Halloween. (I know I'll be going to the Rocky Horror Picture Show that night....)

What about just a Saturday lunch? That way no one has to worry about class conflicts or Halloween plans and the like.

That sounds great, weekends are usually boring for me. XD Where shall we meet, then? Preferably somewhere we can walk to from campus, because I lack a car.

Yea, I'm hopefully going to be going to Rocky Horror as well. Saturday is difficult because I'm in Marching Band, and this weekend is homecoming and my sister's coming down into town. Yea, craziness.

I'm not sure if there's any other day to do it though...hmmm...any other suggestions?

Oh, believe me, I'm going to Homecoming :) I was actually thinking next Saturday, right after we've begun (November 3). We're away at Wafford that week, so..... Will you have to go with the team?

If we do it then, we can talk about what progress we've made, what has us banging our head against the wall, etc. If Saturday the third doesn't work for people, what about Sunday (Nov. 4) afternoon? Could that work for people?

No, I won't have to go with the football team. I do have alot that weekend, but I have lunchtime free, so we could rpobably figure something out.

Hi! I'm glad to see that there is such a group from GSU on here. I'm currently just going to the community college around here, but I plan to transfer to GSU come Fall '08.

Hey fantasy_writer42! Welcome to the group! Glad to see other Statesboro people are doing the NaNoWriMo thing, not just us crazy GSU kids ;)

So... Does lunch on Saturday, November 3, work for everyone? What times are good for you guys? I can do any time after noon.

Okay, noon it is then.

Anyone got an idea where to meet?
I have an SUV, so I can pick people up if anyone doesn't have a car.

Hmm... As far as where to meet, I'm always up for something cheap, *lol*. I'm broke. Somewhere like Moe's, Seasons of Japan, MacAlister's, or similar? I'm not a picky eater, so I can go just about any where.

Mmm... Moes sounds good to me, but I'm open to other options, too.

Ooh, could we meet at Season's? I've been wanting to go there...but I'm not picky either.

Alright, I say we choose between Moe's and Season's, since people have spoken up about those two.

I'm so excited!!!!
I cast my vote that we go to Moe's, just because I haven't been there in a while.

Also, I'll introduce myself.
My name is Lucy, I'm a senior Graphic Design Major, and I'm an RA in Kennedy Hall.
I'm writing a story based off of a roleplay character, which I'll explain more when we meet.

I'll say Moe's, too. I haven't been there since before the school year started!

That makes three people for Moe's, so... Moe's, Saturday November 3rd at noon? Is everyone in for that?

Sounds good. Are we gonna carpool over there, or just walk/drive there ourselves?

Woo!

I'm so behind, i don't know about you guys.
If anyone is interested, I'll be at DonCorleone's (formerly Eagle Diner) tonight pretty late, writing and generally being a bum since I don't have Friday classes. Other than that, I think we should meet up again soon, discuss our progress, perhaps have a write in or something.

Any ideas?

I'm a little behind, too. I have some plot events planned out in my head, but I'm not sure in which order they need to go. >.> I'd love to get together again, but not sure if I could do a write-in since I don't have a laptop...

I was thinking about that actually, and if we had a write in i was going to try and convince my boyfriend to let me borrow his laptop, so then I would have an extra one that you can write on!

Really?! That's so nice of you, I'd really appreciate it! =)

So, should we try to get together again this weekend? I've already devoted myself to doing some big-time catch up since none of my friends will be here. xp
