So - here's the deal. There are many more Kansas writers than we have official Municipal Liaisons this year, (I know that some Kansas MLs are waiting to get their ML-super-powers still). Those of you who are not in a region of the state with a go-getter may have to organize your own kickoff and write-ins if you want to meet up with other nanowrimo folks.
Already many people have intuitively started location-specific topics in our Kansas Region forum, which I think is perfect -- please continue to post local events that you are organizing, work out details, etc. Remember that the forums are public and anyone can read them. Also, please schedule events in public places.
If you are organizing Kansas events that you want advertised to everyone in the Kansas Region (especially to reach those who don't regularly check the forums), I am happy to forward your event details to the e-mail list using my ML-super-powers - just send me the info at lysistratagirl@yahoo.com.
Also, as I prepare for the Topeka kickoff and made goodie bags, etc. I will design as many of my giveaways as possible to be e-mail-able so that I can send treats electronically to anyone who wants them.
November is approaching fast, and I am SO EXCITED that all of the novel ideas in my head can finally be unleashed into my battered old laptop (this will be my poor clunky laptop's FIFTH nanowrimo novel!)

I sent in my app. for an ML I am waiting to hear back. But I am about to plan a kick-off for emporia soon. I am trying to see where everyone is at that wrote with me last year since none of them have come on yet. But then again I know that ESU just had midterms. So not a lot of people would be coming on...I'll be sending an email out again though.

Hooray! New MLs in Kansas are being signed up - we have a Topeka region, and Wichita, and I have heard that Lawrence is on the way.
