Do you have a plot for your novel? Have you written an outline? Or are you just going to start and then see, where it takes you and your characters?
I have written a rough 2-page outline of what I want to write. I am not going to detail it too much, it's just a guideline, so I won't loose the plot completely. But if my characters decide to veer off that outline, I will let them and see what happens.
I really want it to be the first of November now, so I can finally start. I am starting to get really antsy now!

Right now, I've no plot. But I'll try to think of one until the 1st of november. If I can't think of one until then, I'll just start writing without one and see where my story gets me (which can be tricky, I admit; it could lead to a dead end. that's why I'm trying to figure out one.)

I had an idea initially for a science fiction plot. That has now changed to a story set in Egypt, with a supernatural twist. So I guess it's now Fantasy. I wrote an outline of about 300 words, that I might flesh out a bit more, but I don't want to get too specific. It's just supposed ti be a guideline and if my characters decide to lead me somewhere else, I will follow.
My main character will most likely be English and it involves some ancient Egyptian gods coming back to life....

I got the idea for the novel I'm going to write last year (its a fantasy), so I've planned out a lot of the plot and the characters are already well-developed in my mind. But I don't have any of the specifics down. I'll be writing a rough outline during the next few days so I don't run into any plot holes and get stuck.

How is the outline coming? Time just seems to be stretching longer and longer till the 1st of November. I am now at the point where I am thing about combining my Urban Fantasy idea with my SciFi idea, effectively having 2 timelines running through the story, past and present in one and the future in another..... argh!

Its not coming...I haven't written anything. Looks like I'm going to have to wing it. Time is running out. D: ----------

I have a plot. And I have outlined this novel and the next two which should follow it. I will let the characters fill in the dialog and the action, but I do know where I want it to go. So, how is everyone doing so far on the first day? I found it very easy to get the 1667 words. I was very surprised with myself. It works out to about 4 written pages. Anyone else doing well the first day? InshAllah khair.
