Francais or English, it doesn't matter.

I can't attend the Wednesday Coffee meets downtown since it's my one night/week I have a class - but if there are any other West Islanders out there interested in a regular Coffee Date, post here and we can set something up!

My personal preference is for Thursday nights but I'm easy-ish (single mom, so my schedule is nutty). Or maybe weekends?

Hoorah for West Islanders! I'd like very much to get together. My schedule is somewhat free. Give me a day and I'll tell you whether or not I'm busy.

I'm a West Islander as well. When were you thinking of having the get togethers?

Does Sunday 4th sound good to anyone? I was thinking about the Starbucks in Chapters on St-Johns, across from Fairview. I'll have to see whether they have enough sockets for laptops though.

Alternately, there's a Second Cup on Sources Blvd between Brunswick and deSalaberry, in the mall where Rockaberry is, or the one on St-Johns, north of the 40 in Dollard (or is that Kirkland? I can never remember). ;)

Let me know, folks. I'm free pretty much all day but would prefer early afternoon (about 1pm?) for a couple of hours.

I'd love to come on the 4th, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. It depends how my morning plays out. Technically I'm not a West Islander though. Can we stretch definitions to include the Presqu'Ile?

We'll overlook the slight misdemeanour of that bridge of yours. ;)

Let me know by Friday, guys, please. Otherwise, I'll be heading into Ontario to join the Eastern Ottawa write-in on that day. :)

Well, since I got no takers, I'm heading to Ottawa on Sunday. If anyone is interested in getting together on the West Island this coming week, send me a NaNoMail message.

I'll be free on Saturday November 17th in the afternoon. I was thinking the Chapters on St.John's road would be nice.

Anyone else interested? Drop me line here>

I have a concert in the morning, but the afternoon could be plausible. Chapters sounds a lot more quiet than Tim's or Starbucks, but do you think we'd find enough outlets for notebooks? My machine doesn't last more than 15 minutes unless it's plugged in... :(

Crap, it looks like I'll have the kids on the 17th after all (stupid exes... grrrr) so I don't think I'll be able to make it.

I've seen lots of people using laptops upstairs at Chapters. Can't remember if they have plugs though - maybe it's just the tables with the bench seat? I'm heading over there today or tomorrow so I can report back. :)

I work in the west island but really live in LaSalle, so it's quite easy for me to go anywhere there (yay! Car!).

As far as when/where, I'm open. My schedule is rather varied, so whatever fits for most other folks..

Uh... did I imply I could do something on the 17th? I just realized that I'm going to have to be away this weekend, next weekend (and the entire week and weekend following it)... er... after that there isn't another weekend.

Howzabout Friday evening at Chapters on St Jean? I can do this Friday (the 9th) from 7:30 for an hour or the same time a week following. I'll go if there's even one other person. 'Sides, I'm a tad behind on word count (need to update, I'm just under 8k right now).

Ta!

Okay, this Friday is good. 7:30 at Chapters sounds good too.

Whoever wants to join us, you know where we'll be.

(I'll be the one in the NaNo t-shirt) ;)

I don't have a NaNo shirt. :(

Café area sound good? I'll be the scruffy-looking character who looks like he's not very familiar with a razor. Yellow and brown t-shirt, and blue laptop, if that helps.

Chapters, ho!

Yep, cafe area. I'll have the large decaf and the furrowed brow. If you look at my profile here, you'll likely recognize me without a problem. ;)

I'll probably be there early so I'll try to grab someplace near a plug.

Anyone else coming? Non West Islanders welcome too!

It was fun. I was amazed that my notebook held out as long as it did.

I'm on for next Friday again, if you and/or anyone else comes. Congrats on the 6000 words yesterday (sniff... 2/3 of my total in one day...).

That woman at the end of the bench moved about 2 minutes after you left (and about 15 seconds before my system shut down entirely). I stayed till closing and racked up the rest of those words then. :)

Not sure about next Friday - let me see how my week shapes up.

I'm good for Friday from 6:30 pm onward at Chapters in Pointe-Claire.

I won't stay till closing this time around (I'm heading out of town early the next morning) but can probably do a couple of hours.

Jen? Unravel? You guys still interested?

Yes I'm still coming providing my sitter doesn't cancel. I should be there by 7ish depending if I get the bus on time.
Drop me a massage if you can't make it.

Jenn, I sent you a mail. I came down with some sort of stomach thing last night, and I don't think I'd be very good company, nor do I want to be out in public and too far from a bathroom right now. :(

So sorry!! Mail me if you want to try rescheduling (I have the kids next week, so my schedule is kind of crazy).

Sorry to hear that you're sick, Mady!

I'll be there, Jenn. I'll be as scruffy as last time (meaning you'll probably think I need a shave), but this time I'll be in a black coat and a white mock-turtle shirt with EDGE printed on the collar. Do you think you'll still be able to make it? I'll probably arrive around 7:15. If you're there early, try to grab an outlet or three; my laptop doesn't last long without power... :(

Well hey, it was fun. Nice to meet you, Jen.

This time I got an outlet, which I would say was a very good thing. Symantec decided that since it couldn't do it's job and stop me last week, it would have another go at stopping me today. Had I not been plugged in, I would've been sunk (naval thought, just for you, Jen!).

No more meetings in Nov for me, I'm heading out of town. I won't give my word count to the PA crew though, even if I'm writing from there for a while. Hopefully, I can use the time to get caught up!

Is it just me, or is the West Island thread the most active one here? I'd thumb my nose at the rest of Montreal if Edmonton weren't so busy doing it already! :P

Have a good trip Unravel! I'll keep my eyes on your word count. *grin*

Sorry I missed ya Jen. Feeling much better, but I think that's it for meets this year for me - I have my kids for the next 2 weeks, so unless I can persuade them to come along, I'll be novelling from home. :)

That's awesome! *cheers*

I finished my novel last night *still sniffly about it* but I could be there Friday evening if it helps (I can still add a few descriptions and clean up some dialogue etc)

Let me know!!
