Am I the only one from Auburn again? Wait, there might have been one other person last year, but please tell me we're not the only ones again.
*sigh*
Ms. Karen (who has given up hope on her sig line ever appearing with any regularity, and when it does show up, having it be whole).

Nope. You're not. We're having a meeting down at the Pit on Sunday (7pm) if you'd care to join us? Just to say hi and meet the locals.
(The pit is that pizza joint on Main Street across from City Hall.)
Hope to see you there!

YAY! Sorry it took so long to reply, but I had to be sure we didn't have anything happening at the same time.
I'll be there. Ummmm... how will I know you?

I don't know about the others, but I'll have a notebook out and a red shirt. Hopefully you get this in time.

Welcome! We're getting together for a how's-it-going at the Pit on the 11th at 7pm if you'd care to join us?

Yay and welcome! It's good to know there are more than just three writers in our fair city. (grin).
It's also nice to be able to actually post to the forum boards again. Yay for the NaNo team to finally get things moving a little faster.

I posted this message on another Auburn thread, but I don't know if everyone will find it. Could we change our meeting place to Performance Grill (they're usually not crowded on Sunday evenings). The noise level at the Pit has caused me some major discomfort (my ears are still ringing Monday evening).
Let me know what you all think.

Are the evil folks from Federal Way allowed to come to the Auburn meetings? I could use some reminding that I'm not a complete failure...just at this. I don't require anything special...I don't even have a laptop to write on, so I carry a notebook and pen. I want to kill my character...and her little dog, too.

Evil folks from Federal Way... hmmm, gosh, aren't there some kind of rules agains that sort of thing? Can Evil Federal Way and Evil Auburn co-exist in the same, um, you know, reality, plane of existance, zip code, whatever?
I'll be out of town until Sunday, and I can only speak for myself, of course, but if you want to get together during the following week, I'm game for that. I keep running into those moments of "I could just chuck the whole computer out the window and be done with the lot of ye." Besides, I'll probably be so far behind by the time I get back that I may be ready to quit . So getting together might be a good thing for me too.
Let me know if you want to get meet up next week and we'll get it figured out.

Congrats to those who've made it, hoping to see a few more of us at the finish line on Friday. :)
Regarding a post-NaNo get together, Ms. Karen has indicated that she won't be able to make it on 12/3 as was earlier planned, and that is the only Sunday night I can make before the end of the year. I would be able to make something on December 12th (was just reminded I don't work that day), if anyone else can make that...)
So the question sits: Is anyone interested in getting together either on the evening of the 12th or at the beginning of January, or do we just want to do a ramp-up session sometime in October `08 to toss ideas around, say hi, whatever the case may be? I'm good either way.
(For those who'd like to stay in contact post-NaNo, shoot me a note and I'll get back to you)
