Hi all,

It has been brought to my attention that I still haven't posted anything about holding virtual Write-Ins. This is very remiss of me and I would like to put it right right now.

I'm proposing that we start with a couple of Virtual Write-Ins, see how they go, then schedule further WIs later on if they prove a success.

So, the first Virtual Write In will take place tomorrow evening (Mon 12th) between 7 and 9pm.

The second will take place on Friday evening between 7 and 9pm.

They will happen in the Cambridge Chat Room which you can find here:

http://www.chatzy.com/842603389333

The password to get in is cambs167

If they prove popular, I'll try to increase the number of online Write Ins over the rest of the month. As with the real life Write Ins the emphasis will be on writing, although obviously there will be a certain amount of chatting involved as well. I'll try and organise it so that we have say 10 minutes of chat, followed by 20 minutes of frantic writing. But we'll see what works best on the night.

Hope to see some of you there.

Lottie

So, would anyone like me to organise more virtual write ins? Last Friday's one went well in my opinion, but obviously if other people don't see them as useful then there's not much point in me organising more.

Also, check the Calendar for any events being held at CB2. As they have free Wi-Fi there I'm more than happy to hold a Virtual Write In at the same time if people can't make it out but would still like to take part.

Please let me know. I want to do as much as I can to help you get across the winners' line, but you have to let me know what I can do to help. :-)

Thanks,

Lottie

Linking it to CB2 is a fab idea, It'd be a good incentive to get the kids to bed as early as possible.
I'll log in to any other virtual write ins later in the evening too as this is a time I am more likely to be less interrupted. The friday virtual write in was great for me, getting me unstuck and all. The tea at this caff's not bad either :)

In which case, I'll be hosting a Virtual Write In from the Real Life Write In at CB2 this evening between 6 and 8pm, for anyone who wishes to join us.

We'll do the same on Thursday, and every other occasion that there is a Write In at CB2, so please check the calendar for the times and dates of these meets.

Hope to see some of you there.

Hi again,

Firstly, we'll repeat the Virtual Write-In this Friday between 7 and 9pm, so feel free to wander along to the chat room if you'd like to join us (details are in the top post of this thread).

Would anyone be interested in a Virtual Write-In sometime on Saturday? (as we don't have a real life Write-In organised for that day). If so, what time would be best?

:-)

After 8pm seems to be the time when I get to sit down without having to dash upstairs again and again. As happened tonight:(
So I'd say between 8 and 10pm are the hours for me.

In which case I'll extend Friday's write in until 10pm.

Hope to see you there. :-)

Hiya,

There will be an extra Virtual Write-In from 8pm and lasting until at least 10pm tomorrow night, Saturday 24th, for those of us who don't have anything better to do on a Saturday night! :-)

We've discovered that they're very good for getting ideas for entries to the Worst Sex Scene Competition... :-o

Okay, as the final real life Write In is during the day tomorrow, I propose another Virtual One in the evening to round the month off.

So, I will be in the chat room from 8pm onwards, until midnight, when I will probably burst into tears and crawl into a corner. But if anyone wants to join me in there for the final few hours of Nanowrimo 2007 please do so. :-)

(Details at the top of this thread)

Would this be related to Indie promising not to sleep for the next 24 hours?

I won't be there virtually, but I'll be there in spirit (while I'll be drinking some) to egg-replacer you on.

Actually, I might be able to join you just before the stroke of midnight, in an almost guaranteed-to-fail bid to beat LM/ML's word count and win the iBook war.
