Imagine you are a Pastor( not quite hell, fire and damnation, but close) that has been invited to the home of a parishioner.
The parishioner has brought you there to break bread with her sister in law who writes erotica.
The parishioner doesn’t agree with the fact that her sister in law writes erotica and is hoping the pastor can dissuade the sister in law from writing erotica and somehow make her see the “error of her ways”
Now as a pastor, what kinds of things can you imagine this pastor saying? What kind of arguments would he make against erotica? Keep in mind this is a pretty forceful pastor who thinks his way is DEFINITELY the right way….so what does he say???

Pastors expect unsaved people to do bad things. That's why they're unsaved.
Now, if the woman says she's Christian, he can say, "your works are of the flesh, not of the spirit, and you may want to check your salvation."

If he really wants to help, he's going to be frustrated by her. Kinda like the Jehovah's Witness's, because many of them want to take care of people. The reason they are so persistent (to many's irritation) comes from their view that the person's soul, more important than their life, is in danger.
