Sad to say, but after coming to the realization that I would need to write 5,000 words a day for the next ten days straight in order to reach the 50,000 goal, I'm calling it quits.
I did complete the challenge last year, so I don't feel quite so bad about giving up - this November really wasn't my month. Well, the trip to Vancouver/Alberta was hella snazzy, but it ate up 12 days of my writing time. Now I'm changing gears, looking for work, and I know I won't get that miraculous 5,000 words/day. (My best ever last year was 3,500 words/day).
Yeah, I know, excuses. :p
So, a toast to NaNoWriMo '07! I'm not killing my project - I like it too much - but I'm going to stop stressing about making 50,000 K. :)
