Okay, I know I haven't won yet, but I figured we would eventually need a thread for winners, and I know some of you have already won!

I am planning on winning tonight. So who all has already won, or is definitely going to win?

Woo Hoo!!! I made it.

Last night I started very late and figured I'd might hit 5 or 6 hundred but would have to get very lucky to even hit my 1667 goal. I had just finished a scene and had no idea where I was going next. I went back and plugged in a transition scene that I had skipped earlier, got on a bit of a roll and by the time I finished it, I realized I was only 300 shy of the 50k. Even though it was already after 11pm and I had to get up at O-dark early the next day, I skipped ahead and knocked out the final few words, watching the scene and the word count both dwindle and wondering which I would run out of first.

I'm glad I stuck to it. It was my single highest production day.

I win :) I won the 18th, actually, during the write in. But it is exciting to see others win as well.

So I am now a member of the purple bars club. Yay! It feels great, the last minute pushing was so much fun. But now my eyes are tired of the computer.

Congrats to everyone else who has won, or wins! Talk to y'all later!

Andy.

P.S. Oh, I've friended a few of the more active members of the SA group. If any of you have a problem with that, please let me know and I'll remove you from my buddy list.

P.P.S. And once again...Woot!

I crossed the magic mark about half an hour ago (but haven't pasted yet for the official word count because my wife wants me to wait until she gets home tonight to see it.) It feels great!

She should finish her quest tomorrow and then its off to a nice French restaurant Saturday to celebrate!

My arms ache!!!

i know the feeling -- my work count it about 73k write now and i am two of three scenes from the end. i dont think i will make it before the end of the month, but i at least hope to have a 75k for the month word count. good luck with finishing -- and you should update the word count -- 65k looks so much more amazing than 58.6k ;)

My MCs just started the mission, therefore, if I am still padding the word count, it could be another ... um, well, it will be a lot more words!!! =)

But I won't keep writing until probably tonight, but definitely tomorrow because I promised Jason (from the NaNo chat) some wars tomorrow! =)

Psh, I think once you get going into something your MC take up a mind of their own even more so than when you began-- hell mine decided over 35k in to actually have more of a plot than just surviving -.- and now are on journeys where they will meet up with each other-- that is if I don't kill them all off first!

At 50k I won't even have all the groups together -.- some of them, yes, but I'm not even half way done!!!!

Yes! I made it! The beautiful bouncy ball... it will be mine! Muhahahaha!

[ahem] I mean, phew, that was hard. Fun, but hard. Hard to believe that people do this for a living (lucky sods!). Now to survive the editing process...

I already know I fail. I don't have time to write all this night and tomorrow another 20, 000 words. =[
Perhaps I can do it next year!

Aww... Marisa, in the words of that guy from The Waterboy, "You can do it!"

...come to think of it, I could have broken into that song and dance number from The Producers, but at this hour, it's probably not as entertaining. >.>

Purple bar achieved! Joy! And my story's not even finished! XD But now I am off to bed.

I know that feeling. It's going to be quite a while before I finish the actual story, even with just 50,000.

I just hit 50 k at 8:15 this evening. After a quick happy dance and trip to the bathroom (yes, I held it for 1,000 words... and REALLY had to go), I began making calls. I will tell you that after falling asleep despite my desperate attempts to reach more than 40,000, I started this morning with 38,000 words so it's been ONE MARATHON day for me. My eyesight is blurry, my back aches from sitting too long and my arms are cramping from being in the full upright position, dangling in front of the keyboard. But damnit, I feel great...I did it. And I'm so happy right now.

If your still writing, keep going. If your close, you can do it! Look where I started this morning!

Wow, Debster, that's Awesome!

I threw in my towel. There was no way in hell I was going to do 25k in one day. Two, okay, fine.. but at this point? I refuse to just write utter garbage I know I'd just delete as soon as I validated. I know I can do 50k in a month. That's not what it's about to me anymore. For me? It's about self discipline.. something I sorely lacked this year; and it's about the awesome people I meet through it. Whether you wrote 5, 50, 500, 5000, 50000 or 5000000000000 words this month (like Tiffany), you're all awesome, because you tried. In the end? That's more than most people ever do.

And besides. There's always next year!

I was done five days ago. I miss the adrenaline rush of trying to beat the clock. :( But hey, I won! And I'm only halfway through the story.

I made my personal goal, which was between 10k and 15k. I'm content, I guess. It's my first year. I'll do better next time!
