I just saw that the Christmas parade here in Palmy is on tomorrow afternoon (Sat) at 3pm, right when we normally meet. Usually town is overcrowded, no parks and it will be very noisy.
I suggest we change our meet. I am not sure what time Robert Harris is open on a Sunday or if it would be best to meet earlier in the day.
What is your opinion Ruth?
Cheers, Lesley

Regrettably I'm not around on the 2nd. As I'm off to visit family in wellington. I'm in Palmy on Saturday for the parade so I'll check in on Robert Harris to see if anyone is there.

'fraid we went ahead and did it without you - I don't think enough people saw this before hand. And yes, it was Hell trying to find a park. But it was nice that there was a big parade in honour of our heroic battle with the nano-beast. I don't understand why they kept playing Christmas songs, though ...
Good news is there were definite indications that we would have ANOTHER TGIO meet up next week, because were all so damn happy it is over that one meet wasn't enough to get all that "It's over" exuberance. ALso Robert Harris indicated they are conceredn that their profits may dip alarmingly if we don't meet again. So those who didn;t make it, look forward to seeing you next week, usual time and place.

Hi Lesley - I'm so sorry we missed you! I didn't see your post beforehand, at all... my bad. :-( But it would be great to see you at another meet-up (next week if you're up for it?); also, people were giving me email addresses so we can keep in touch and keep meeting up for the rest of the year - maybe once a month or so - so if you want to nanomail or email (palmerstonnorth_newzealand@nanowrimo.org) me your email address I'll send everyone an email tomorrow or Monday sometime. :-)

Hi all, I am glad everyone met up anyway and I am in for future meetings. I might be busy next week with my daughter's birthday party but we will see. I hope everyone has printed out their winner's certificate - frame it!!!
I framed mine last year and it was inspiration to finish this year. I still have to get a frame but when I do this years one will hang beside it. I use photoshop to put my name and novel title on it as well as a chosen 'book cover' picture. It is the same picture I have on my page here of a blood splattered helix (novel is 'Twisted Helix'), it looks really cool. So enjoy yourselves and hang your certificate with real pride, we deserve it.
