Okay, so I didn't finish this year. I know the reason why; I became so farmiliar with my story that it was boring for me to write. I move on. I'm working on a new book; it's a fantasy epic called "The Empire" which will be "The Oziark Trilogy." I won't disclose any details on the book, but look at the title of the trilogy to get a few clues. I'm also planning for Screnzy 2008 with another fantasy called "Midnight" which will be a stageplay. So, what's everyone else planning to do in projects?

Nice to meet you, Pen... I went to the Frenzie site and started to sign up, but I think I chickened out, half way through the sign in... This is my second year with nano, and won both times, but this year was just by the skin of my teeth. And I know nothing about Script writing. So I think I'm going to give it one more year before I jump right into something I know nothing about. And do some research into how or what it all pertains to.

But I do plan on working on this last novel. It's a pretty good one! And it was my son's idea, so I don't want to let him down, even though my version isn't as graphic as his version. I kind of powder puffed it. But either way it makes for a good story line.

Good luck at the Script Frenzie!

My plan now...

1) Finish this years NaNo book.
2) Finish the book that comes before it.
3) Get the first book in the series published.
4) Edit the second book again and again.
5) Edit the thrid book again and again.
6) Have the fourth book ready to start for 2008 NaNo with the first published and the second and third finished.

Oh, I've got plots swimming around my head, right now my goals are:
1.) Finish NaNo novel (probably going to take about 10, 15, maybe 20k more)
2.) Finish rewrite of book that comes before NaNo novel
3.) Finish first draft of book that comes after book that comes before NaNo novel (NaNo novel is actually kind of parallel to the first series)
4.) Build on plot that came to my head during NaNo
5.) Start on plot that will also be parallel to NaNo set.

1, 2, 3 and 5 are all set in the same world really, so that's why they're all parallel to each other. NaNo novel takes place actually a little after first book that I'm rewriting, and the sequel to that is actually after the time of the NaNo novel, and they're actually all from different POVs and stuff, and I think I'll have #5 be quite a while after the others in time in the world I built...it's getting complicated.

#4 I'm excited about though, it'll be something different.

ooo me!

1. Finish my NaNo novel, Cry Wolf
2. Start something new (poor thing's working title is Goose -groans-), but yeah, start book one in my new Urban Fantasy series
3. Write new, standalone, original urban fantasy, Nocturnal
4. Do the sequel to the book I wrote in July, tentatively titled Playing the Afterlife
5. Do the sequel to Cry Wolf/my nano novel, tentatively titled Heart Song

Then next year's NaNo! lol Or well, Number 5 might end up being next year's NaNo, depending on how fast I work.

-As you can see, I rotate between stories/worlds. I like the feeling of working on something 'new' in the middle before moving on. Somewhere in there I'll also do some rewriting/edits on previous works...

Oh, I got so frustrated with my novel! Which is why I didn't finish. I'm working on a few other projects now, and I hope to have at least one done by my birthday, which is February 27th.

My Projects:

-River, River- a fantasy story about Cyrus, whose sister's fiancee ends up falling for the wrong sibling.

-After Moonlight- Another fantasy story about a teacher of magic and his clumsy, air-headed student.

-The sequel to my unnamed 2006 NaNoWriMo novel(la). It's basically a high school drama story from the perpective of an intellectual teen.

-Various fanfiction stories.

I think if I alternarte working on them, I won't get bored and I'll eventually finish something. Wish me good luck!

I have just decided to change "Midnight" my 2008 Screnzy stageplay from a fantasy epic to a drama about a man living with insomnia. Obviously I have some research on that topic to do.

Oh, don't be afraid to jump in on Script Frenzy.
I did a stage play last time because it made more sense to me than a screen play. It was a piece of cake compared to NaNo's 50k and it helped me improve my writing. Picturing an audience watching a play really cut out the word padding and unnecessary bits.

I, also, did a stage play because I could picture an actor doing scenes more easily than creating a film scene and the format was easier. It was, also, something I could inflict upon friends. I didn't, but I liked the idea that I could, and it seemed more feasible than filming.

Well, first I'd like to finish my Nano-novel, because I don't know how much there is left of it... Then I will edit my first novel, Empress of Mehjeno, an epic fantasy, and try to get that published while I finish and edit book 2 and 3 in the triology with the same name... then there's ScriptFrenzy and then I'll finish my very first book that I've been working on for four years... and then... well, then it's Nano-time again! =)

LOL - I'm relating to the "clean my room *gag*".

1) December and January - art projects
2) Join in some of the "do something different each month" ideas - writing poetry, short stories. Want to do at least 20k in short stories. Maybe try some flash fiction.
3) Started intensively working at re-learning some Spanish at end of Nov.
4) Script Frenzy
5) mid-year -- start learning more Sign Language.
6) Do some NaNo research throughout the year. I spent lots of time researching in Oct. and started off kind of tired with NaNo.
7) *gag* - clean my house. Started back on that yesterday.
8) Buy inexpensive holiday gifts and wrap by end of August. I did that this year - whoo hoo - nothing to do but relax now & do art.

For me:

1) Finish the NaNoPet - "Jarred Rhodes, FBI" (probably need at least 10k words, maybe a bit more)

2) Use the rest of December to edit and begin rewrites

3) Look to publish through agent and/or publisher (by March?)

4) Turn it into a screenplay for Screnzy (Hooray!)

5) Make lots of money and continue writing killer novels and screenplays and live happily ever after.... (Okay, that one's not really a project...just sounds cool. LOL)

6) Finish my Creative Writing course I'm taking through LongRidgeWritersGroup (highly recommend; check them out: http://longridgewritersgroup.com )

7) Publish various short stories and articles (with LRWG instruction and teaching)

8) Write and sell TONS of short stories and articles and become an indepedent freelance writer (now THAT one's more feasible.... heehee)

Here's my official list. (In no particular order)

1) Finish the first draft of the first book in "The Oziark Trilogy" by next October.
2) Plan for Script Frenzy 2008
3) Clean my room *gaaaaaaaaaaag*
4) Plan for JulNoWriMo
5) JulNoWriMo
6) Edit my Script from the Frenzy
7) Plan for NaNo '08
8) Find an agent and get the first of "The Oziark Trilogy" published (Of course, I'd let everyone on here know about it)
9) Begin planning for the second book in "The Oziark Trilogy"

Obviously 9 will happen after 8 does, and 1 is my main priority. My family doesn't even know I'm writing the "Oziark" books, so I'm keeping the plot under tight watch.

Things to do this (technically next) year:

1) Finish my '05 Nano so that I have a completed first draft and can start work on the second book of the set.
2) Actually take part in Screnzy this year after chickening out last year.
3) Write 1 short story or at least 15,000 words on a WiP every month starting January.
4) Start planning for Nano '08 before the last week of October!

After I finish rewriting this years NaNo I'm going to go agent-hunting. Hey, why not? Someone's gotta win the publishing lottery, but only if you play.

In April or May I'm going to do a self-imposed NaNo science fiction project, then start the plot and character outlines for the sequel to this November's book.

With all this going on, I may never get back to reading or watching TV again.

I'm going to add another chapter to my 2007 Nano novel this month. Then, I'm going to edit my 2004 Nano novel for a final time and send it out to publishers. By then, ScriptFrenzy will be on, so I'll do that. After writing the script, then I'll work on editing my 2005 Nano novel and gather info/research for my 2008 Nano novel (I like to plan things out), which will be about sperm banks, donors, the "samples," and the recipients.

Tony, Screnzy is short for Script Frenzy. It's an Office of Letters and Light event that is taking place in April this year. The goal is write a 20,000 word stage/screen play in 20 days. It's really a lot of fun. I participated earlier this year in the first Screnzy and won with 20,438 words. More info at www.scriptfrenzy.org

I don't know if I'll do Script Frenzy, but I've got an idea for a novel that I'll be starting soon, when enough time arises for me to be able to get a firm start out. But the idea is pretty well-developed; I've actually got the basic storylines for three books circling this central idea of a girl who... well, nevermind. It's secret for now :) But I am EXTREMELY excited.
