Okay. It is 9pm. Today was the end the fall session and it is officially exam time as of midnight. I don't intend to start studying until tomorrow, probably around 1pm so...

I want to post this so I can't back out. Last year I never really mangaged to read my novel all the way through. I'm having some doubts about whether this years attempt is worth editing, mainly because looking back on it it is a rather depressing sort of story and much as I love it I'm not really sure I want to continue working in that sort of mood, or if it is even worth it...so I'm going to find out, or rather I'm reading it so I remember what I loved about it and can look forward to editing after I finish my exams.

Henceforth I am forbidden to sleep until I finish reading my novel. I've started a kettle of tea...and now I'm going to start...or rather now I'm going to procrastinate for a little while and read the forums, it won't help...in the end I will have to read it.

Stop reading your book and read this link! Seriously.

The author is a nano member and it is a great article on editing, working on the flow of scenes, etc. I'm already using it to check my scenes in the early part of my book to be sure they are working before I tackle the last third of the book. It's worth your time to read it before you get discouraged and think you can't make your novel worth editing.

See what you think of his ideas before you give up on your work.

WOW What a great link!

I am just about to print and read my '06 Nano Novel and start the editing process.

I now feel like I have a good grip on how to do so, having never gotten to this stage, it is daunting.

Thank you Kathy and, of course, JunkFoodMonkey!

I'm reading mine today as well, in between math(yuck) and history(double yuck).
My mom's going to edit my story for me, but I want to smooth out the obvious mistakes first.

I'm reading one of the ones that I did last year and oh god, it is it a bunch of crap....Thankfully the basic story idea still interests me so I intend to make it less crap ^___^

Whadya mean - "his"? :D Heh, I get that one all the time. Somehow that username sounds male, and I'm not. Still, that can be handy on the internet to keep the weirdos away.

Thanks for the plug! And I'm glad you're finding it useful.
