so, i want to know if i'm crazy. well, i sort of know i am but... tell me what you think.

i'd written an allegory of the passion of Christ. you know, life, death, and resurrection. then, as i was writing along i realized "this has been done. so many times. It's a popular theme for allegory." then i realised that there is so much more to the bible than just that one event. yes, that is the event around which the storyline of the Bible revolves, it is the central event of history in fact. yet, there is so much that comes before.

my mind started whirring. in a moment, my solitary book became the third in a four-book epic allegory of the entire Bible. the first book will be creation and fall climaxing at the exodus from egypt (i have two diametrically opposed cultures already, so this fits smoothly). the second will be focused on the coming of my Christ-figure, Justanis, climaxing at His temptation in the desert. the third is what i have already written, climaxing with Justanis' death and resurrection. finally, the fourth will be focused on the tribulation and the end times, climaxing at Justanis' return to Merethion.

so, thoughts? is there anything i should add? any questions you want to ask? anything you think is wrong? is this thought even interesting to any of you? would you read it? if not, why not? if so, why?

i'd appreciate any help you could offer me.

thanks...

^-^ Yay Religious Allegory! (Actually, my 5th novel in my current series can be interpreted to be semi-allegorical...) There's a bunch of history between Exodus & Christ's birth and Christ's resurrection and return to Earth (which is Merethion in your story, correct?). You may also want to look at other translations of the Bible if you can. After you've read the Anglo-Saxon Exodus, King James's version pales in comparison. I think it will be interesting how you'll go about gathering Disciphles...

NaNo 2008, what will you bring?
More WKRC? The Triumphant return of Siegfred's Giant? The Misadventures of Hans and Greta? Or the newly discovered From one Architect to Another?
