What are some major differences between 1920s London and today - obvious things that might shock somebody from that time period if they were whisked from their own time to ours? I've hit on things like sheer number of people and cell phones, what are some others?

Languages. It isn't just European tonuges being spoken, but Arabic and Chinese as well. I would also think that the lights would be different. Piccadilly Circus is a lot like Times Square, surrounded by flashing screens and lights. It's enough to give someone sensory overload. Maners might also be a big thing. Are they expecting doormen or even that a gentlement will open the door for a lady?

Well, most of the landmarks are the same, tower bridge, big ben etc. The London Eye has since been built. More cars, larger suburbs, more communities of differing ethnicities.

Streets they used to know looking completely different thanks to the Blitz (bombing of London during WW II)? Modern fashion - imagine a 1920s person first being confronted with a mini skirt. ;)
On a moral scale, they might be shocked at some movie posters / the posters to be found outside certain establishments? Different manners, maybe.

I suggest watching the episode Out Of Time from the UK programme Torchwood, which deal with our idea as well.
Torchwood, if you don't know is this brilliant SciFi show spun off from Doctor Who, and this episode is about three people (a girl, woman and man) who are transported from 1950 to modern day.
There's an incredible amount of contrast between then and now, so of course they're compleatly confused. They get absolutly baffled when in a supermarket, because of the insane amount of stuff you can buy. The girl buys a DVD of a film just out of the cinemas in 1950, and the woman sees a 'Smoking Kills' thing on cigarettes for the first time, and they're all confused by the automatic doors!
Later on, the guy attempts to track down his family, but of course his son, about 11 when he left, is now old and has dementia. Extremely sad.
The girl gets very confused with the sexaul attitudes when she's taken out clubbing.
The woman is very suprised when told you don't need a man to have a baby anymore!
Lots of little things are there if you look - like when making a pot of tea, the tea bags are opened and the tea poured out instead of left to soak :P
Although not quite your time period, its very intresting - and they all have different ways of adapting (some more sad than others)
The actual 'team' of Torchwood aren't really in it a lot (except a guy who strikes up a relationship with one of them) so if you don't like SciFi or the programme, you don't have to pay attntion to them :P
