Anyone else going to be traveling in November? I just booked a round the world holiday, and will be getting home on November 2nd. So technically I'll be starting the novel in London then writing it while flying half way around the world back to Australia! Only problem is when I get home I'll be looking for a job, applying for benefits, waiting to see if I've been accepted to uni and moving. Still, I like the idea that my novel will be an international novel! (And hopefully this time I can actually finish it!)

That sounds like fun. I know for NaNo '09 I'll be in England, trying to write out a 50k story. It should prove an experience--and maybe I'll include some things I would not normally put in my stories.

Good luck. You should add pieces from the cultures you run into--it might make it more interesting. And could be written from a 1st or 3rd Person POV. Just an idea.

Not during November, I'll still be in the UK but I am coming to Brisbane in December for Xmas and since I probably won't have finished my novel by then, I'll probably take it with me to give it an international flavour.

So if you see anyone in Carindale food court scribbling away its probably me. Give us a yell.

*sighs with relief*
Whew! I'm not alone then. For me, the last week of NaNoWriMo takes place in Germany. There's a nice three hour flight there which can be spent writing, and lots of inspiration to be absorbed when i get there.

Viel Glück everyone!

Not internationally, but I'm definitely planning to be heading out of town during November. I'm planning to spend a bit less than a week down in Canberra during the madness, so it's going to be nice to have a change of scenery while I write. Maybe this year I'll manage to finish my NaNovel during November.

I would love to do an international novel. Even just travel internationally. I can only imagine what amazement it could do my work... darn.

Have fun on your holiday!!

I'll probably end up there eventually. See you in December.

I'm going to teach English as a foreign language, and I will hopefully be in another country by November. Which would be ALL OF NOVEMBER!

I'm seriously excited at the thought of writing my whole novel in another country. I don't know if I should be sad at this but whenever I think about what fun I'll have - sightseeing, speaking another language, meeting people from a new country and other countries - having an international NaNo is near the top of the list. (Well, that wouldn't really be "international" since it's just one country. But it's not MY country!)

Although, I haven't quite decided where to go yet.

Happy holidays to everyone!

Oh, I wish I could go international. However, once again, this year I remain stuck in my lousy little Navy town. I don't even get to go to Seattle much anymore. But once the royalties start coming in on my '07 novel, I'll start travelling the world (one of my lifelong dreams) and put some true international flavor in my '09 novel. It's simply not enough to be a small-town cosmopolitan (and it's lonely, too).

That's very cool. Using your 07 to make your 09 international. It's like a NaNo positive feedback loop or something. xD
