Any easy way to do it that doesn't involve CCs or paypals or checks anything very complicated?

I'm wondering because I would totally donate 10 or 20 thousand won, but not if the hassle outweighs the money...

maybe we could send whoever's donated--assahkat, I saw you have a halo--a little money each and you could do it for us?

I don't care about the halo, so it doesn't matter if it's donated in someone else's name.

SWW was formed out of Nanowrimo last year, and this year we are publishing our first anthology. Anything is possible!

Well ,more so, when I have nothing more to say about something, I put some askerics and then start on another thought. Now, I think its a discombobulated mess and have lost hope. Any words of wisdom or advice right now would be super helpfull ....

I am behind in my word count. ARGGG .... I am stressing .... in a very I feel like I am behind kinda way.

Well, November is two-thirds of the way over, and only now have I finally made my way to the NaNoWriMo site and the Asia: Korea forum. I've peeked through some of the latest threads, and I see a few names that I recognize, along with a lot that I don't.

Anyway, I'm just this guy who used to do this thing ("this thing" being NaNoWriMo, of course), and even though I haven't been able to participate since 2006, I still try to drop by and say hi during this month of insanity. So... hi!

It's good to see our fearless ML still plugging away at the helm. And it's good to see people already at 50k or more. If you're not there yet, don't despair--the closing days of November have hosted some of the most amazing comebacks in the history of humanity. You've still got time to set goals and meet them, so don't give up!

I guess that's about it. I wish everyone the best of luck as the month winds down.

Word Wars - November 17th-21st

Despite the potential to do serious damage to my body by doing what I've been doing the last week writing-wise, I will be writing in Itaewon during the evenings again this week. I will probably move around more than last week as there's only so much ripping off of my green tea lattes I can take from Tom N Toms (half foam, half tea - pfffff).

So for Monday I will be in the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (above Quizno's and Cold Stone) from 5:45ish til whenever I hit my goal for the day (trying to hit 60K). Make sure your laptops are charged as I can never remember whether there are outlets there, but I'll have the famous powerboard with me in case we're in luck.

RETREAT 15TH NOVEMBER!!

Third time lucky.

THIS WEEKEND - THE MUCH PUBLICISED (not really) VERY EXCITING (hopefully more relaxing) LOTS OF FUN RETREAT!!

After much discussion and fact-finding it has been decided that we will be doing a day/night retreat as opposed to an overnight retreat.

WHEN: Saturday, November 15th - 11am to whenever we finish, go crazy or get kicked out.

WHERE: Dragon Hill Spa at Yongsan - meeting point Baskin Robins 31 just outside the i'Park mall at Yongsan Station.

WHAT: Dragon Hill is an enormous spa at Yongsan (not to be confused with the officers' lodge of the same name which we are NOT going to). They have sections which are sex-segregated and nude for spas, but this is only a very small part of the complex. They also have clothed communal areas with a number of different saunas, sometimes entertainment, beauty therapy shops, a good restaurant, snack bars, internet cafe etc. It's HUGE.

We are going there primarily to write, but you can sweat out your frustrations with your characters or soak those stress-causing insipid plot developments away if you so wish.

HOW MUCH: Entry to the jimjilbang will be between 8-12 thousand won depending on what time we go in. Once in, you're given a wrist strap with a swipeable barcode which you swipe whenever you want to buy something and then pay the balance on the way out. Your 8-12Kwon will give you entry to the jimjilbang, a locker to store your things in, entry to the spas and saunas and pool, towels and jimjilbang shorts and tshirt (you will have to wear these in the communal areas). Meals, snacks, toiletries (if you plan on using the spas) are extra but not exhorbitant.

WHAT ELSE TO BRING: Your laptop, pen and paper for any disasters which mean computers aren't viable, toiletries (if you plan on using the spas and don't want to buy them there), something to sleep in/on if you plan on staying at the jimjilbang, money to pay your tab and entry, any snacks or drinks you can't live without.

PEOPLE FROM OUT OF TOWN: If you come, you can always stay at the jimjilbang, or I can direct you to a couple of cheap backpackers/lovemotels near Insadong which pass my cleanliness test (I'm fussy).

Please RSVP if you are coming - it would be great if we could get a really big group together. If nothing else the day should provide us with a chance to really get the word counts up!

Word Wars - November 10-14th

Hi all. Just to let you know, my goal to prove insanity this week is to double my word score from yesterday.

THEREFORE word warring will be taking place every night this week at Tom n Tom's coffee in Itaewon, near Outback steak house. My powerboard and I will be found there from six each evening (earlier on Thursday) wherever there is space and an electrical socket nearby.

Hope to see a few people there!

Well, no more evil cackling of Mac superiority for you guys, because in another forum someone posted directions on how to get it to do it in Word.

Busan Nano Thread

Anyone in Busan looking to make the run should use this thread to organize meetups and mutual feedback. Anyone in the surrounding area looking for some support is also welcome to join in.

So, should we set something up for this week? A meetup to discuss plot ideas and get the creative juices flowing?

What about this weekend? I may be out of town on Friday and Saturday, though, but nothing is set in stone, yet.

Where are some meetup places? Good spots to write that would also have power access?

Where is everyone living? I'm in Dongnae off A-lak-dong. There is nowhere around here to write that I've found.

So, lets see what we can organize and give this year a go.
