However you say it, there are over 60 of us in the Mohawk Valley who are going nuts in November. Before the madness descends why not get to know your fellow writers?

This is my fifth year doing NaNo and my fourth year as ML.

I'm from Oriskany, am self-employed and have been writing for 15 years.

Saturday Write-Ins

Hey all you MV WriMos!!!!

This year is going to be awesome because we will be able to have FIVE write-ins!!!

Not only are there more write-ins this year, but Nov 1st is a Saturday, so we can have a kick-off party and a write-in AT THE SAME TIME!!!

(Yes, I am hyped up on sugar. Why do you ask?)

So what I'm wondering is, what write-in spots do you guys like the best?

Is there somewhere you dis-liked? Some place new we should add? Your favorite kind of doughnut? I really do like to know this things.

Wednesday Word Wars

The format is simple: Wednesday evening from 5:00pm on you log into the room and challenge any comes to a Word War.

You can say first to 500 wins, most words in 20 minutes, or any other finish line you can think of for a mid week word count pick-me-up.

Region Banners!

I was board today so I ended up playing around with Photoshop and made some Mohawk Valley WriMo banners.

They are 100x500, which is what this site asks for, and there are two for you to pick from.

The only thing I ask is that you save the file to your own server. Photobucket is a free site made just for things like this.

Challenge - The Book of Tim

Long, long ago, in a city in a province in a country in a hemisphere on a planet very near you, a young man was born by the name of Tim.

Tim the young grew up to become Tim the man, and as he grew in age and stature, so too did his ego.

In 2006, Tim the man participated in NaNoWriMo for the third time. He would win this year, reaching over 50,000 words in just thirty days. Little did he know, upon his registration, that this would be a most auspicious time in his life, for it was the beginning of The Book of Tim.

That year, Tim challenged everyone in his home region of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to include him in their novels. Those who did were rewarded with a win. Coincidence? Perhaps.

In 2007, Tim again participated in NaNoWriMo. He won yet again, and again he challenged his fellow Calgarians to include him in their novels.

This year, 2008, Tim is opening up the challenge to the whole world. Those who would like to contribute to The Book of Tim must send their entries to Tim (username: Hero) via the NaNoMail on the NaNoWriMo web site.
