Welcome, everyone, to another year of November craziness!
Well I think John and I have gotten our routine down by now, and know all your favorite activies, but guess what? I'm hoping to have even more activities going on this year.
For instance....wouldn't it be a novel thing for this group to accomplish an actual "write in"? We've tried in the past and failed to our enthusiasm and wagging tongues. But this year...we're gonna do it! And to make sure we can achieve the goal, I'll be talking to local merchants, restaurants and anyone else that won't tell me to shut up to see what kind of rewards I can rustle up for winners of "word wars"! Sound like fun? Yeah! I think so, too!
Anyway, I just wanted to welcome everyone back to another year of noveling craziness in NanoWrimo's 10th year. It's my 4th and John's 3rd year volunteering as your motivators and I hope we can continue our goal of making every year better than the last!

Yay! I can't wait!
Write-ins sound fun. Hope I can come to one! The meetings are going to be on Saturdays again this year, right?

Yes, most will be held on Saturdays but I think we might try to throw in some mid-week stuff for those who might need the extra "therapy" time as we plough our way through the month.
We will probably keep our regular meets at the Library, like before and invade Starbucks regularly for other stuff. They love us there so it shouldn't be a problem.

Haha. Nice.
Selena: Are you going to post a schedule of what's happening when? Closer to November, of course. I want to know what I'm going to miss on the 16th (yay study abroad interview!).

Hi everyone. I'm Jenny.
I joined you in '06 from Tivoli, and briefly last year. I didn't get to go to any of the face to face meetings because I was in the middle of prepping for college graduation, but hopefully this year I can get more involved locally.

I'm hoping John and I can get our calendar put together this Saturday when we get together at Starbucks.
Everyone knows about "Second Saturday", right? We've been meeting year round at Starbucks in Williamsport the Second Saturday of every month. Talk always includes what anyone might be working on, editing, even reading but ineveitably has some current events in our lives discussed as well. Jane can pretty much be counted on to recount us a little tale that always has us in stitches and being looked at oddly by the other patrons. But we're used to those looks by now, right?
Come on out and join us!

Oh my goodness...I just realized that my interview is on a Sunday. Yay! I can come to the meetings!
I'm stealing some of you guys' ideas for a thread I'm running for NaNo on another Website forum (GaiaOnline) - role-play as your MC weekend, etc. I can't wait to see what you guys will come up with this year since we have an extra Saturday.

hehe, steal away!
I think the main character night is everyone's favorite. Although walking into the library dressed up as a pregnant gypsy can give you the same issues as that realizing you're naked in class nightmare...lol
As for what we'll come up with this year....we have a few ideas floating around....and you'll just have to stay tuned!
