Hi,

Just wondering if there's anyone from around Toowoomba doing NaNoWriMo this year as I'd love to get together for a coffee before & afterwards as I find it difficult to get to Brisbane?

Hey Carole! Glad I'm not alone in Toowoomba... my first time at this...

We can't be the only two, surely? :)

Just in time to join the party -- now where is the kitchen? I must hide out in there and avoid talking to people!

I'll have a coffee while you're there! Don't stay in the kitchen too long (although it's probably a good strategy for the writing, LOL!)

Hi Damian!

Welcome to the madness of NaNoWriMo!!!

First time writing a novel in a month? This is my 3rd year - hopefully I'll be more successful 3rd time round. Not so sure though cause I haven't even got much of a storyline worked out yet, & only some vague shadowy characters!

Looks like there's 3 of us at least :-)

How about we introduce ourselves & then perhaps we can figure out the best way to encourage each other

Thanks Carole!
Yep, my first time! Currently the longest stories I've written have been around 10 to 15k, so this is going to hurt! LOL!

I've been email chatting with some writing buddies this last week or so, boucing plot ideas, begging for character name help, haha! God, I still need a name for my character!!! My mission this weekend.

I'm going to miss the start too, away at the beach :)

I'm from Toowoomba!

And there are three others from Toowoomba that I know are doing it too, although one of them really isn't taking this seriously.
(You know what I mean. I don't think she'll reach FIVE thousand words by November 30.)

Hey, are your wordcount graphs all working properly? Because mine isn't.

Nice to know there's a few of us from around Toowoomba!
Perhaps we should try & organise our own TGIO party at the end of the month, what do you think??

Don't know about my wordcount grphs I haven't got around to adding my words yet - too embarrased about the dreadfully low number - guess that's what happens when you start Nanowrimo with no storyline, no characters & no idea as to where you are going! :-(

How is everyone feeling after the first couple of days of writing??

Hi all;

My wordcount graph is working, though tonight is the first time I've logged in that it hasn't been appallingly slow. Good to see that there are a few Toowoomba people taking the plunge; I hope we all emerge at the other end of the month! I'm not committing to any parties until I know that I've got something I can be unashamed of -- but it's a good idea.
