Hello Hawai'i!
Just thought I should drop by the forum and say hello to those of you who have already come by the site. Jonathon (Composr) and I are returning as your MLs this year, and we have lots planned already. I put up the link to the calendar we made, so feel free to take a look. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about what we have planned, please either post them here in the forum or use the ML contact form to contact us directly. We'd love to get some feedback. If you plan any other events elsewhere, let us know so that we can add them! I think October is going to go by quickly, so I hope you're all gearing up for a fantastically frantic novelling adventure in November!
-Kelly (and Jonathon)

Thanks for being ML's again this year Kelly and Jonathan. The calender doesn't seem to have any get together for the West side of Hawaii? Is that right?
----------Hello Catherine.
Hey a publisher asked for more info, a synopsis, of my first novel that I submitted. Keep your fingers crossed.

Welcome back and thank you for returning this year. I look forward to what you and Jonathon are planning for us Hawaii Nanoers, and I wish you both the very best in your novel-writing adventures. If you need any assistance from the Leeward side, just ask and I might be able to assist.

Hey all!! Sorry I didn't get my "official" word in with Kelly yet, but here you go! ^_^ As Kelly has shown, we have taken quite a bit of time planning for this year, so it should be a blast! Look forward to more information coming from us soon, we just wanted to get all that basic stuff out ASAP, so everyone could start planning, cause we sure count on seeing you all at events! ^_^. Until next post, then! ^_~

Greetings from Kapalama. I'm a four-year NaNo participant (twice successful) and happy to make this number five. I love work gatherings, so you can count me in for several, I'm sure.

Let's see if we Hawaii Westsiders can get together sometime in Nov. I'm going to need some serious butt-kicking to get my word count up.
I'm already whining and we haven't even started yet, how pathetic is that?

Hey, J&K, glad to see you back.
I've signed up under false pretenses this year.
After setting last year's Nanovel aside for a bit post-Nov., I picked it up again in the spring, dawdled around doing not much on it until mid-summer, and am now in a mad dash to get a complete, readable, draft pulled together before Nov. 1.
November 1, the Inner Editor comes out of the closet.
While you're all writing like crazy, I'll be editing like crazy.
Can't imagine November without palling around in the forums, so here I am anyway.
But I won't be Nano-ing, exactly.

I'm doing a prequel to something I've written previously, so perhaps I'm not really Nano-ing either. Don't we need to write something completely original?
Well, screw it, I'm going to do it.
It's nice to see so many Hawaii writers. =)

i think you can write anything as long as it's yours... lol and it's not 'edited' while we go.. it's just write write write... :)

Missraye is right: as long as you haven't started it before November, it doesn't matter if it is based on something else you've written! We're glad to have you!

Hey all,
Just dropping in to get registered and say hi before the month kicks off. First timer, but it's something I've meant to do for a while, so the current 'real' project goes on the shelf for a month, and nano takes over. Promises to be an interesting month. I'll be in vancouver for the first week of the month, but I should have plenty of time to write up there. The rest of the time, I'll be heads down here.
Hopefully i can make the first write in if I don't leave until the second, but that's up in the air right now.
Now I just have to decide what I'm going to write.
See you all soon.

only if I get to write in the 14 ;)
I started setting up the trip today, so I know I can make the meet on the 1st. I'll be back on the 8th, so we'll see when I get back in the groove after that.

Hey, All!
It's good to hear that everyone is getting all geared up for this year's craziness! I can't wait to begin, and I also can't wait to see some of your familiar faces as well as completely new faces! Let's start this November with a bang!
