As I'm sure you know, there was an unfortunate problem with the NaNo servers that resulted in several days' worth of forum posts being lost. But these things happen -- mere computers cannot hold back the utter majesty and coolness of the Toronto NaNo group!
So yes, welcome again, and allow me to introduce you to the 2008 Municipal Liaisons for our region:
Deej (being me): http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/37734
Vic : http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/88121
Debs: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/137530
Between the three of us we'll be coordinating all of the events, handling any issues that come up -- guiding this great beautiful cruise ship that is Toronto NaNo '08 as we set sail on November 1st until we come back to safe harbour on the 30th, hopefully with nice thick manuscripts to our credit. (I'll be the one responsible for any keelhauling that should be necessary!) So if you have any questions, any suggestions, any offers to help (and we can always use help), please always feel free to contact any one of the three of us. NaNomail is fine, we'll all be checking in here as often as possible.
We do have some plans made already, and we'll be telling you more about them as October develops ... but for now, enjoy! Start to play around with some ideas, get to know your neighbours, enjoy your last few weeks of sanity -- literary abandon is almost upon us!

I just want to make it clear in this thread, as well, that the best place for finding all of the NaNo information is always going to be http://www.torontonano.org -- be it for event listings, news, the chat room, whatever. We'll try to keep up here, this is equally important, but there are certain limits here -- and our Facebook group won't always be completely updated, though we try. But the torontonano.org website is our hub, so always check there for the latest!
