Just thought I would put this out there.

Anyone in the Cedar Hill area, I'm looking for writing buddies to meet up with. There are a few places we could meet, plug in our lap-tops, and write like we only have 30 days to write 50,000 words.

Oh, I forgot, that's all we really have. UGH!

Let me know if you'd like to join me!

I don't live in Cedar Hill, I'm down the road in Maypearl so I couldn't make regularly scheduled write-ins but I get there pretty often (love the new B&N with the squirting fountains out front and the Starbucks near Party City is my favorite of any around). btw - your story looks interesting. Anything at Joe Pool would grab my attention :D

Well, Looks like there'll be 2 of us, so any time you're ready to meet up, let me know. We don't have to meet in Cedar Hill. I have friends at the Oasis at Joe Pool Lake and as long as it's during the day, we can meet up there. I'm open for anywhere.

Jeannie

Ooohh...I didn't know you were available during the day....it's rare to find people that are. I quit my "real" job to write full time just about three months ago so I'm free during the day before I pick up my kids. This may work out fabulous for us :)

We had a pretty regular group in Waxahachie that partipcated last year and there were a few from Midlothian so maybe they'll join in to and we can rotate areas down this way.

Rotating works great for me. I'm free every day but Wednesday. I belong to a critique group that meets up at the Oasis. we could meet there once in a while, there's also a Panera Bread in Cedar Hill that has free WiFi. I know there's a Starbucks in Midlothian, they always have internet connections, as for Waxahachie and other areas, I know where they are, I just don't know what's out there.

I'll be at a writers conferance the night of the Kick-Off. Anyone interested in meeting up on the 29th? Let me know and I'll find us a place.

I'll try and set something up today and get back with you. If you're in SW arlington, we could maybe find a place in the middle. Have you ever been to the Oasis at Joe Pool? I could work something out with the manager there for the Thursday before NaNo begins.

Yes I have been there, that would not be too far. I will try to keep that nite free. Thanks for letting me know! Do we do any actual writing there (outlining only I know, no actual Nano work yet:)!

You know what, I've never been to a Kick Off party before. This is a first for me so I don't know what goes on.

I do know that I was wanting the NaNo widows and widowers to be included. Is this done?

The Kick-Off is pretty much a meet-and-greet, and pep rally for ourselves. :P We don't do any writing, but some people like to share outlining ideas/strategies, and I've been asked to contribute character names in the past (one year a writer brought in drawings of her characters, and asked fellow Wrimos to name each one).

Family and friends - or widows, as you aptly described them - are always welcome! After all, this is one of the few times they'll be able to spend time with you before you become surgically attached to your laptop/Alphasmart/penandpaper.

:) Criss.
