Kate, I live in Griffith and have signed up for the first time this year. Unfortunately, November will be a busy month for me, so meeting up may be tough, but I can try. :-)

Hey I'm from valpo. This is my 3rd or 4th year of self induced depression... I mean, my 4th attempt and writing a novel...
My only problem is that of course on day 1 I have a problem. My parents are coming in to visit. Of course distraction must hit right away. It's the first visit they have made down here in 2 years... But thankfully the visits only last 24 hours...
I could do something early on the first though...

I live in Griffith too, and I'm new to the area. I don't drive, so I can't give a definite answer about meeting anyone (also, I have an infant and this weather has been lousy lately, so I've put the stroller away) but my husband is supposed to have more time off soon, so things could change.

I am having a open kickoff party if anyone is intrested.
I am suggesting a day long kick off event at Panera Bread in Valpo.
I'm thinking very open ended. Show up when you can, stay as long as you can.
I plan on being there pretty close to when the place opens around lunch time.
I know there is a few people who are intrested in meeting at 6:00...
So if your intrested in meeting with a bunch of other wanna be writers. Feel free to come out.
