Do either of you know how many NaNoWriMo's were here last year? I can't remember but I thought about six or seven. I didn't get to the meets but would like to this year.
I work 8-5 downtown so, if you are in that area, I frequently do lunch at McDonald's on Main. Not always at noon but anywhere between 11:30 and 1:30. I'm the woman with the bun probably reading a book. I look a bit like a librarian... well, I've been told that.
How are you doing plot wise? I'm going to spend time this week trying to prompt some ideas. I've had a couple but they didn't grab me and say WRITE!
Well, catch you later. I'm off to run something down.

Hmmm...I didn't really pay attention to the exact number of people were here last year. At least, that were active, lol. There were over 100 subscribed to the region itself, just like this year. ;) I met up with one person last year, but she's since moved to Tennessee, so she doesn't count anymore, hehe. Hmmm...I'm afraid I can't be more help than that, lol. Last year I couldn't get any further than my feet would carry me, but this year, I can get anywhere my bike will carry me, so I can go to a few more write-ins. ;)
Anyway, my schedule's pretty open, so if you ever feel like scheduling a write-in, let me know and I can probably make it if it's not too far away and not too late at night. I don't have a problem going out after dark so long as it's not too late. :P
And I'm turning over a few plots in my mind, hehe. Hopefully I'll have a couple outlines soon...I'm thinking about trying for two novels this November, just because it'd be hard to do, hehe. I'm not sure HOW I'll do that, but I'm certainly pondering it because there are two stories I want to write, and something tells me that I can if I get myself a system, hehe. I'm already aiming for at least 100k, but two novels might push me to 200 or 300k...I have no idea how I'd do that, but I'm sure it's possible, hehe.
Anyway, good luck on your novel. Take care, and have a nice day!

I'm here. Again. I remember a few from last year, as I organized the North Side write in's. I'd be glad to help again this year.

I've been a participant for the past five years, but I've only been able to go to two write-ins, one last year that I got to meet one girl at U of E, and one the year before that where I was the only one there. Not too great of luck, but now that I'm finally eighteen, I'm hoping to be able to make more of them. I'm really looking forward to the first meet up tomorrow!
My plot is coming along pretty well, I've been planning it for the past few months. I'm having some trouble making my main character more likable than his sort-of rival, but it's really difficult, because his sort-of rival is pretty darn likable. I'm hoping to shore up that last loose end (that I can see right now, lol, there'll probably be oodles more once I start writing) before November actually hits. *crosses fingers*
I totally go to school downtown! I don't know how that would help because I can"t go to McDonalds for lunch, but it's a funny coincidence.

I'm a bit behind, but I'm going to be attempting it this year as well, despite my studies. I'm a student at the University of Evansville, so anything near UE might be doable, but preferably on UE's campus. I'd recommend somewhere in the new Ridgway Building. It's a nice building, it would be a waste if none of the meets were to occur there. However, on weekends and over Thanksgiving, I won't be on campus, so I'll be unavailable for meets or write-ins.

This is my first year and I doubt I'll make anything. I way too busy and just taking up this challenge is enough to spin me over the edge. Although, if I can I would love to go to one of these 'write-ins' or what ever. What exactly do you do? Just hang around and BS?

We hang around, bs, and write. Mostly write. Maybe stare at the wall for several minutes at a time looking like we're not thinking anything when really, we're constructing whole plot lines in our heads. There's usually lots of coffee involved.
