Last year, we (the Atlanta region) had a chat room off Yahoo, I believe, that was awesome. There were few people in it, yet we had some great word wars. Any plan to do this again? I don't know how to set this up or I would think about doing it myself.

roulettec,

I think you're talking about the chat room I set up for the NaNoWriMoATL yahoo group? I killed the old chat once the group shut down for the off season. Not sure if the group will re-activate this year so I really had no plans to do it again unless they needed it. That being said, if you want it back I can certainly reinstall it. Let me know if that's what you want.

Let's get some feedback from others. I certainly don't want to give you a 'to do' if no one else is interested. And its awful lonely if you are there by yourself! What about it folks, do you think an Atlanta chat room would be valuable to you and would you use it?

Personally, I don't use chat rooms. But I am more than willing to meet with some others, somewhere.

I personally don't feel the need for the yahoo group unless the forums go down like they did last year. I feel like we all get to know each other better when we keep everything in one place.

That's just my two cents!

I wouldn't mind the chat room again. :D It was fun doing real-time word wars with everyone!

I think a chat room would be a great idea. With the exception of face to face, you can't beat the immediacy and the convienience.

Does anyone know if ChatMaker.net is a good one or not?

All,

Looks like we have a few who want the chat room and few who don't. So as per request, I've re-activated the old chat room. You can access it at:

Of course you don't have to use this one but it's there if you want to. Enjoy!

For those just joining us, Celestialwolf set up an awesome chatroom for us to talk in real time! Drop on in, I'm in there pretty often. XD
