Yeah, there is no thread for us here......and we are kinda invading the South Coast thread.....lol. So i think a thread for us out on the "fringes of society" (a direct quote from my brother) is on the cards.

So, I'm from Wagga Wagga (well half half actually.....i also live in Bermagui (on the south coast))

-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

Quote:
FROM South Coast Thread:

Totally, if we can. (Not sure on how my parents would be with me meeting randoms off the internet.) Although, a couple of my friends are doing it with me this year, too--it's their first NaNo. We could all meet up somewhere if people were interested. :-) I'll ask around. There HAVE to be other people here doing NaNo, I figure.

(Looking at your profile, you're a bit older than us. We range from about fifteen to seventeen and a half, so far (I'm still recruiting). But if you don't mind, my friends and I probably wouldn't mind either. ^_^)

((I added you to my buddy list to keep track of how you're going; hope you don't mind.))

(((I kind of invaded the South Coast thread, huh? XD)))

((((I think I'm done now, hehe.))))

I honestly don't mind being with people a few years younger than me, i mean i do have a sister about your age (she's 16). I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to recruit some of my friends but alas, exams are in the way of Nano-ing - that or they are all on prac teaching....beware my friends may be teaching at a school near you!

Oh, add away! I'm not fussed! lol :) I'll add ya to mine as well. :D

What about Scribbles Cafe or the Coffee Club or even Gloria Jeans one weekend? It'd have to be a sunday though cause i work at Thomas Jewellers on saturdays, and i assume you are all at school on weekdays (not this week anyway ya'll on holidays!). Let me know, if ya wanna meet this week i'm free most days (just have an hour tutorial on thursday 10am).

:D

A huge hive-five to all the Waggaites out there.

There are more of us out here, I have a lovely band of Leaving HSC kids who are participating as celebration of free time.

Give us a yell if you want to participate in a novel writers party!

Hey look, 'tis Jodi! :-)
I know there's Rachel and Maeve and you and possibly Bek...is anyone else you know of doing it?

Perhaps we could go somewhere on the 31st for an unofficial "Kick-Off Party"? It's a Friday. They always sounded like fun. Plus, I want to stay over at someone's house so we can all start writing at midnight, hehe. Mum's offered our house but that would be limited to the people I already know, obviously. ^_^

Well, a kick off party......i have a unit and i'm the only one here, i'm happy for ya'll to stay with me......i have a spare room (two single beds) and a futon bed in the lounge. I can make more room if needed. That way we can make it an official kick-off party for wagga people - just let me know before hand how many of you there will be. :D

Hey, nice to know I'm not quite as alone as I thought. I'm from West Wyalong. Which is sort of near Wagga if you had a rocket.

Well, I spoke to the almighty parental. She'd be okay with us meeting up somewhere, and with people I already know coming back to our house, but not with me going to yours. So, I figure we can meet up regardless on Friday 31 somewhere. Depending on what everybody else wants to do, people can go to my place, or yours. Or theirs. I have possibly 6 people who say they're going to do NaNo. They're just lazy and I don't think most of them have signed up yet. Or if they have, they haven't posted, haha.

Glad to hear back from you. :) I'm quite happy to meet up anywhere on the 31st, It's a friday night so i guess that makes it better for you guys.....no need to worry about school the next day. I happy with whatever your 'rents say. i don't want to overstep any boundries. Give me a time and place and i'll sure to turn up (i'm pretty sure i'm not working of that day so i should be free to come).

Glad you found more people to do nano with you.....no one i know wants too.....to busy preparing for exams and such.. *sigh*

Waiting to hear back from you, hopefully before hallowe'en. ;)

I've talked to my housemates and they are all cool with me holding it.
I have a decent sized hose with living space and plenty of room for computers.
And most of Salzkes friends know where it is.
It's close too woolworths so we can stock up on the required Chocolate and coffee before hand.
And that gives us space without worrying about 'rents.

Hope it works out XD

Sounds awesome. Still haven't spoken to many people, because I suck at being organised and am trying to pretend it's not coming up. ^_^ Will go send out an email now, though.

That sounds cool, jthiele. I'm happy with that although......i'd have to finish writing early..... I have work at 10am on Nov 1st. Although i'm annoyed that they put me on that day when i said i couldn't work - they only put me on for 3 hours! Which works out well. Then i don't work for a week and even then that's only for 4 hours instead of a whole day... :D

Jodi, I consider you a good friend and I don't know where you live. How can this be?

Bek here btw. I don't know if I'll be able to attend a kick off party just because I have my extension history exam the monday after and yeah... sorta need to study for that one.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and think of a plot, characters and setting. ^_^

Same Bek, but I'm so still going :P. 'rents are okay with anything at my place, yet I'm near Collingullie so it's not quite as convenient as Miss same street as Woolworths ;P.

Sounds awesome guys, cant wait ^_^
