I'm okay.

Right now I'm sitting at my laptop frantically trying to finish my Literature homework which is due tomorrow. After that I'm free (apart from exam revision) to do NaNo.

I've been good up until today, and think that today will be the only day I fall short on my minimum word count. Its frustrating but has to be done unfortunately.

I'm thinking of doing that challenge where you write as much as you can in 5 hours, just to get back on track with my word count.

If its not to personal (no one has to ACUALLY answer) how old is everyone? I'm 14 myself, so if I get halfway I'll be very happy :)

16.. but a lot closer to 17 (23rd December).

Violatrix.Stone, age has no limit on what you can do. You can do 50K. As long as you believe you'll get there, you will.

=)

And I think that most of the A/W area people are quite young in comparison to other areas, so it's not like you're alone.

Wow! I'm surprised there's anyone else here. I'm in Albury. I'd decided not to participate, but I've just changed my mind; consider me woefully behind before I even write a word! LOL

I'm 31, just to answer that question as well :-)

I shouldn't be surprised that there is a section for the Twin Cities. I myself am in Tangam.

It should be interesting if I manage to complete this. I have very rarely finished a story, let alone done one this long xD

I am 18 :)

well I'm having fun- behind on word count... sort of, but at least I'm getting there lol, and I have to admit it's quite fun once you get the words flowing- I'm quite use to fanfiction writing and I never finished a story XD

Well just hit 14,000 Sunday night.

I was behind by a day and a bit, but I mostly managed to catch up.

As a resu lt, I wrote 3,007 words in one day. I was astounded.

I've recalculated my daily min and its rounded off to a nice 1850 words. I'm going to aim high though and try to get 2K down each night after school (and sitting in the VCE centre at lunch permanately attached to my laptop and ignnoring my friends heh.

When I sat down and wrote yesterday, I got down the rest of a chapter, but then suddenly I stopped, I didn't know what to do. I freaked out, and almost decided upon killing one of my main characters (only to have them come back to life somehow), but decided against that sudden insanity driven thought.

I thought about it for half an hour, and then decided to move along in the plot by a week and introduce a shady new character. Oooo.

I've been pretty lucky as from the start the characters have been driving the plot. Weird, awesome feeling!

Hope ya'll are getting somewhere?

Oh, and I've written 3 times more than the longest story I've ever written. I'm so proud. =)

The closer I get to 50K, the more determined I am.

So. It's the 15th. We're halfway through, time-wise. I'm JUST starting my NaNo. It's ridiculous that I've even decided to go through with it.

Is anyone interested in a meetup?

I don't think it's ridiculous to go through with it; I started on the 10th and am delighted I did. It's turned into so much more fun than I expected.

As for a meet-up, I'd certainly consider it, but I'm not a huge fan of meeting new people, so don't yell at me if I chicken out! LOL

Happy writing everyone,

Elizabeth
