Hey everyone,
Claire here, your faithful 2007 NaNoWriMO ML... unfortunately, due to various circumstances, I left Fort Lauderdale a few months ago, and moved, first, to California, and am now in Virginia. It's been a busy few months. But, because I won't be in Broward this year, that leaves you all without an ML. Anyone interested in stepping up? It's definitely not as scary as it may seem, and I'm happy to help out any new MLs in any way I can.
Anyhoo... if you're interested, just reply here to let people know you're taking up the mantle, and then head on over to http://www.nanowrimo.org/prospectiveml to apply to be the Fort Lauderdale ML.
If you have any questions about anything, you can reply here, send me a PM, or e-mail me at claire.smith06@gmail.com... I'm going to be away over the weekend, and I'm not sure how much internet access I'll have... likely, none, or very little if I'm lucky, so the best way to reach me if you have any urgent questions would be my e-mail, as I'll check that first.
Thanks to the brave soul willing to take over MLing... (is that even a word?) You all were a great group last year, and I'm seriously bummed that I won't be able to ML again for you this year. I'll definitely be dropping in and cheering you all on throughout November.
Claire

Aw, Claire, I was looking forward to the meet-ups again this year. Well, good luck in Virginia, away from the gross Florida weather. I hope someone just as cool steps up to be ML this year.

Hello Folks,
We're half way through October, it won't be long before we become obsessed with writing 1667 words a day. It's going to be a fun and crazy journey. For those of you who are new and not quite sure it is humanly possible to write 50,000 words in 30 days, let me tell you it is. We'll talk more about that later though.
I am one of the co-ML's for Miami and I have been in contact with Claire and the fine Nanowrimo staff to let them know that if they need an ML for Broward that I would be able to meet on the weekends in the Plantation/Sunrise area. I have Barnes and Noble or Starbucks in mind as possible meeting locations, but I am totally open to suggestions if I end up being your ML.
And if any of you are interested we will be meeting at Borders in Aventura on Fridays at 8 PM.The address is 19925 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura FL 33180.

I live in Fort Lauderdale and would be interested in meet-ups in the Sunrise/ Plantation area. I work nights half the week, but am available Wednesday nights or anytime Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Keep me posted...

I live in Pembroke Pines, but I would be cool with Sunrise/Plantation as a meetup place, as well. This is my first year actually doing NaNo (I tried last year, but I didn't put much of an effort). Looking forward to whatever happens!

I was totally up for that a month ago, but i just got a second job :(
i've been emailing about it to you as well! i haven't gotten any replies for a whole year... that's makes me skeptical on the "help" i'd get from you, but wow, moving a lot, must be super busy. Sorry you can't make it this year :(
i am a busy soul and i won't make the word count, but i know i will still come to the meetings!
EDIT--- I work at Borders in plantation/sawgrass now, meeting there will be of great benefit to everyone, i am sure of it :D

Hello Claire!
I was hoping to see a familiar face! :-(
Last year was my first and I thank you for the support and hand holding (not literally of course! lol) that you provided!
I played with the idea of TRYING to step up for ML when i read this, but it just can't happen. I should be closing on a new home by the end of November, the holidays, looks like I need to take a trip to NY in the middle, AND i'm at a new job where I work 10am to 7pm! So yeah... not going to happen... i'll be lucky if 50k words happen!
Good luck in Virginia and thanks for reaching out to the far southerners! :-)
