There are a lot of great places to meet up in the Mystic/Westerly/Groton area.

Foxwoods food court is great and easy to find. It has a massive area with tables.
Noah's in Stonington Borough is great for an early morning write.
Applebees and 99 just scream kick off party.

Mystic Noank Library with it's antique alcove is inspirational.

I do have several novel workshops on Video and Audio if someone wants to do a get together

Anyone for a meetup in the Mystic/Westerly/Groton/Ledyard area???

God, yes! I live in Ledyard and I don't have my license yet, so the Foxwoods idea sounds great to me, since it's not too far from my house.

I can easily get to Ledyard and back, if I've a few days advance to get a bus ticket. :B

Foxwoods sounds great (: Just would need a few days notice no matter where the meeting place is.

I could pick you up. I drive like a grandmother. And if it helps, I can meet your mom! So she knows I'm just a wacky writer, not a crazed psychopathic killer/abductor/maniac.

I live in Mystic (Groton side) so I could gather people down this way. Just think of me and Esmeralda as a green writing bus.

That's generous of you. My own mother would probably put up a fight about even driving me down there (I live on 214...pretty handy, yeah?), so would it be possible for you to pick me up as well? I understand if it's not, and I know it's ridiculous that I'm even asking, since I'm only about ten or so minutes down the road. The SAME road. But. Please?

If I was to end up at Foxwoods some random day without any notice in the slightest, what number would I call to drag you out of bed for a ride? :DDD

Picking you at 214 is a piece of cake, it's one of the ways I can get to Foxwoods.

My number. 860 245 0532

Call between 10 am-8pm Before 10 am I'm usually swimming at the Mystic YMCA after 8 pm we are getting ready for bed, and unless you want to listen to a shrieking angry man who will hand up on you.

Now I get the Sandy Hook bus deal.. it's way far away.

Awesome, thank you!

Sandy Hook...man, that confused me for a minute, I forgot where I live. Cuz I used to live in Washington state, and there was a Sandy Hook road out there. Took me a second to realize you weren't talking about that. ^^

Ok.. I'll pitch this out there.

KICK OFF PARTY

Food Court/Panera at Foxwoods

MONDAY OCTOBER 27th

7 PM

I'll pick anyone up, especially those younger license-less ones in Ledyard. (just let me know, and let me know where you live, so I'm not wandering the streets abducting people and making them write.... I think there are laws against that!)

I can get a bus straight into Foxwoods.

See you on the 27th, ladies. >:3

The only potential problem is the fact that you'll never get me on the phone ever. :D

Where exactly are we meeting at the food court? Will you have a sign or something similar to call attention to the group?

I'll print an Official NaNo sign! and go by the windows.

Look for people with notebooks, intellectual gazes, and who think double down means you are writing two manuscripts.

Oh and a fabulously handsome man attracting all the women.. (see above promised post)

So, Intellect, Gambling clueless, and a throng of groupies???? Oh and the NaNo sign.

Sweetness! I'll...email you my address and phone number? My mom'll probably want to talk to you beforehand if you'll be giving me a ride, if that's okay?

I'll be at Foxwoods Monday from around five until hopefully seven-- my parents decided randomly to go to the buffet that day, so I suppose if anyone wants to eat / hang out before the meeting, I'll be at the buffet near Panera's (: If anyone is interested, the aim is : composer katraa.

I can't make this one (plans already for the 27th) but I hope to catch y'all soon. Will there be other meetups to come, or a schedule of dates?
