Have you brainstormed your plot yet? Hmmmmmmmmmm?
Want to give us the thirty-second recap? Put it here!
Also, this is a good place to toss onto the table any ideas that you're not going to be using, for our uninspired fellow authors.

Hi!! I'm Mae. So here is my main plot:
Kali was given to foster parents at one month old with no clues to her blood parents. Seventeen years later, a young man, Dunstan, comes to her house and tells her that he is to bring her to her parents.Stuff happens, yada yada, and she learns of her true feelings and how she takes her place in her family's world of royalty.
What do you think?

My planned story is still evolving in my head (how many people can I fit in here, anyway??), but this is it, roughly:
Police detective disappears while investigating a possible art-forgery case. His friend, an FBI Agent, joins the search. Suspicion rests on the Assistant Art Curator at the art museum. She professes innocence. The Agent doesn't believe her, even though he's attracted to her (hey, she's cute, and vulnerable, he's hunky, so it's bound to happen, right?) When she disappears too, the case heads in a whole new direction. In the process of digging into this case, our Hero also helps solve the murders of all the groundskeepers at the Botanical Gardens, and discovers the true reason for the small band of mismatched folks prowling the streets of Duluth in a red Glacier National Park tour bus.
Unused story idea: There is a band of aliens (of unknown origin or design) who've set up camp in Montana. They show no inclination to go home, or even to visit other areas of the country. They don't seem particularly dangerous, but they are extremely annoying and pushy, and this author left the state to get away from them (and brought the red Glacier National Park tour bus with her).
Claire: Only slightly insane? I daresay we'll be helping you along your way with that.

I want to write riveting, hard-hitting dramas, or scathingly witty farces,
so why do all my NaNo's want to be science fiction??

I have too many plot lines. As per typical. I'll pick one out of a hat when I get home from the Silvertips game on Oct 31. I'll probably discard that a week in and pick a new one, knowing me. This is my 9th year doing this crazy thing, I have a rhythm down... sort of. *laughs*
