I see some names I recognize, but many are unfamiliar. Let's fix that, shall we? :)
Name: Melissa
Age: 18 (I'll be 19 on kickoff day.)
Location: Cumberland County
Occupation: Student (Journalism major)
This NaNo will be my: 4th
Years won: 2
Novel Title: The source
Novel Genre: Fantasy/Drama
Anything else we should know?: I'm carrying way too many credits this semester, and am Editor-in-Chief of my college's paper, so doing NaNo on top of all that scares me. Then again, I say that every year and turn out fine, so.
Okay, SJ WriMos: SOUND OFF!

Entered: 4 (including this year)

Novel Title: Philip and Elliot
Novel Genre: Fiction
I just moved to North Carolina, but liked this group when I lived in New Jersey. This might be my final Nano as I'd like to explore writing without the structure of Nanowrimo. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind!!!
Typically, I don't like write-ins - as I am too social and they distract me from writing. However, I love communicating on the message boards.

Occupation: Student (Nursing), part time party store employee
This will be my first NaNo
Title: Harvest
Genre: Literary Fiction
I'm helping the MLs out this year, and hosting a bunch of write-ins in Camden County. I am really, really excited to get started, but I assume that everyone else is too. I actually usually suck in social situations, but if I'm the leader of a group, I'm a social butterfly. Don't know where the switch comes in, but thank god it's there, or else this November would be pretty lonely.

Novel Title: A Super Exciting One I Haven't Thought of Yet
Novel Genre: Young Adult most likely
Anything else we should know?: I'm soon to be an aunt for the first time. My baby niece is due in the first days of November (even though we're thinking and hoping that she will come out in late October). That sould be distracting but I will try and pump out those 1667 words regardless of my oodling the new baby. Also, I've got a lot of credits this semester and in a few clubs so I might just be crazy to want to add this to my plate but I think it will be fun!! Good luck everyone.

Name: David Benson
Age: 53 (so far, the oldest)
Location: Atlantic County
Occupation: Communications Manager for Oyster Creek Generating Station in Forked River
This NaNo will be my: 2nd year
Years won: 1
Novel Title: Wild Childs: Stories of Tater, Jack and Onion
Novel Genre: a bit of this and that
I haven't decided for sure on this year's novel. I like Tater, Jack and Onion. They're good kids, and they've done some cool things -- and some things not so cool.
But typically, I write horror. I have some ideas for a story based on Medusa, and another concerning vampires. But the lure of TJ&O may be too much to ignore.
This is my first year at the nuclear plant, and we have a fall refueling outage coming up. It could be that I end up with some long days at the plant during the Nano month. That's going to make it tough to find writing time. But I'm determined to get a second "win" under my belt.

This NaNo will be my: 4th(!)

Not sure what I will write about this year, I am up thinking of a new angle to write my Vineland story. It will most likely be a new approach to the Vineland women. I am determined to get a book finished and to the publisher this year!!
So glad to see familiar names. Should be another great year!

Name: Elizabeth or Lizzy
Age: 23
Location: Atlantic County
Occupation: Student (Visual Arts Major)
This NaNo will be my: second
Years won: Hah- none, but this? This will be my year.
Novel Title: 'Defying Gravity' or 'A Hundred Years Denied' or… well lets just go with ‘working title’
Novel Genre: of the paranormal-fantasy variety, probably.
Anything else we should know?: I’ve never really talked or posted with NaNo-goers last year and have decided that this was probably the reason I petered out around the ten-thousand word mark. I hope to make some new writing buddy/friends at the write-ins, or at the very least here in the forums.
Current time-consuming addictions: LiveJournal (the writing communities, of course), deviantART (such pretty pictures), and Guild Wars (which will soon be put aside for Fable 2). All of which will inevitably work against actually writing time and degrade any plot I may currently have.

Novel Genre: Possibly a middle grades novel - we'll see where things go.
Anything else we should know?: Literary fiction -- whatever that means -- has been where most of my writing tends to land. This time I want to try something different. We'll see how the middle grades novel goes. My (almost) 8-year-old son will be the judge.
Amyhaha - selling my house during NaNoWriMo is what made me lose last year. My advice to you is be better than I was at deciding you WILL set aside a couple of hours a day, no matter what. Buying/selling/moving gobbles way more time than I expected. Good luck and stay at it!

I haven't chosen which of my ideas I want to work with. Probably this will be a contemporary piece, but I also write fantasy.
I really would like to meet up with some Burlington County Wrimos for a kick off party. Some of my high school students want to have one. Perhaps a Barnes and Noble in Marlton or Moorestown, or a Starbucks or Panera's?
Let me know if that interests you.
