There is a note about this on the page about donating when broke, but I wanted to let everyone here know about the partnership with goodsearch.com

When you go to the website and put in Office of Letters and Light as your charity, every search you do will donate $.01 to NaNoWriMo and ScriptFrenzy. Think about how many searches you do a day - 10? 20? I probably do about 50, which means in a month I can earn the OLL $15. You can even install goodsearch to most browsers and search from the bar. Awesome, right?

Need to do some research? Use goodsearch for all of your research queries this month. Then you're researching for your novel *and* paying for the ability to do this next year. Sweet!

Even if you just switch for November, it'll make a big difference to the event!

Happy Novelling!

Thanks for the post, TSEdiot. I switched my search toolbar to Goodsearch in Mozilla Firefox and it took me less than a minute to do it. If every NaNoWriMo participant goodsearched for the cause once a day during November, that would be $30,000 for the Office of Letters and Light by the end of the month! Do the math. If you want to keep having a website to write on, do what you can!

Uh oh. :( They're getting a lot of traffic so their server is busy right now.

Don't forget - GoodSearch is an excellent way to donate when you're broke. And even if you aren't broke.

Thanks for the reminder! I just checked the stats for OoLL and November's stats are PATHETIC. Only $320? We can do better than that!

The switch is easy! Most people have a small toolbar that automatically associates itself with a search engine, but at goodsearch.com you can be a couple of clicks away from donating to NaNoWriMo. And be sure to list whom you're Good Searching for!

I want to thank everyone who GoodSearched--we just got the check in the office and Chris Baty's eyebrows raised halfway off his forehead. He then proceeded to do a dance of joy and proclaim the necessity of photgraphing the check and posting it on the blog at some point. So the moral of the story--using GoodSearch really does help! Keep those searches coming!
