In case you haven't noticed, this year we have an easier to use and read Calendar of Events -- Google Calendar. There's a link to it right above the Topic List here in the Minnesota :: Rochester forum.

The only two events on it so far is the Kick-Off party at the Marketplace Caribou on October 30th and the first day of NaNoWriMo.

We're going to be scheduling write-ins for the month as well. Does anyone have a time they'd really like to meet?

Post it here if you do. :-)

Any time after one o' clock would work. I have classes from eight to one so if it's scheduled than, I'll definently keep contact on the boards.

Cool! I work 8 to 5 so any of the ones I coordinate will be in the evening or on the weekend.

I'll get some set up before too long. :-)

That's great. I can't wait to see how things unravel.

That's awesome Jeremy. I haven't started on the packets yet, but I do have the stickers from headquarters. I'm going to search the board for the best dares, though and I have a couple other ideas that will make the packet a lot of fun.

I'm job searching now, so there is really no telling what my schedule will be like in two weeks. I'm going to try to make it to as many events as I can, I'm curious to get to know what you guys are like.

Welcome dabrownofmn. Good luck on the job search. I hope you can make a meeting or two. We have a great group here in Rochester.

I'm going to try to make the kickoff party. This is my second try at NaNo...the first one went down in flames after 30K last year. But like an eternal optimistic Twins fan...I figured there's always next year. :) Next year has almost arrived, and I'm excited to get started.

Great attitude. You can do it. We'll have write-ins setup so you can get some encouragment when you need it.

And remember, you are allowed to turn off your inner editor. All you have to do is get the story out. You can make it pretty later. Plus, there are a lot of great dares that can help you increase your words. One of the perennial favorites is to rewrite a chapter using only pirates.

I look forward to meeting you.
