I think there has been one Grosse Pointe write-in in the past two years.
Which is a little bit depressing- there aren't many of us, but we do exist!

So how's about we set some up?

Great Idea! Since I'm not familiar with the Grosse point area, could you suggest someplace?
and a time that works?

I know in the past there have been write-ins for out there but they were pretty sparsly attended and last year I didn't set up a formal one (mostly cause I don't know the area and ther ddidn't seem that much interest.

I'll get it put on the calender and setup.

My wife and I will be writing this year and we live right next door to Grosse Pointe – in Harper Woods. So that would make three of us at least!

There's a place in Grosse Pointe called the village- a bunch of shops and things. There's a Starbucks and a Caribou that would work! And just about everyone in GP [and a lot of them in Harper Woods, for Tim] know where the village is.

Actually, I grew up in GPC so I know the Village well. The Caribou is nice, especially the back area. Although, I've found it to be crowded at times especially at night. I haven't been to Bigby's up on Mack. I'll do some recon and check size, plugs, etc. It may be a good alternative.

The next question is day of the week and time. My first thought is to do it on a different night than the other write-ins so those who want a variety can hit different write-ins on different nights. That would mean any day but Wed. and Sun. Thoughts?

I'm in Mount Clemens, and love the village area...I'm willing to make the trek if you set one up.

Would love one in my area, too!

Yes, I prefer Caribou to Starbucks....there's one on Mack, though, that's never as crowded, and it's bigger, with a whole nice back room that would be perfect.

I agree with the having them on different nights.... would Tuesdays or Thursdays work better for everyone?

Thursday sounds good to us. So how does Thursdays, 7 - 9 (?), at the Caribou Coffee on Mack (as opposed to the one on Kersheval) sound?

Sheepgoddess,

Last year, I remember write-ins being posted on a regional calender. Are we doing that this year? If you so, could you post this? Thanks in advance!

Basically we get together to write. We kinda challenge each other to write faster and you can hash out your ideas and try them out on others.

Just go to one, take your computer if you can, a pad of paper and a pencil or pen if you are desktop bound.

Thanks. I think I will try it and GP is the closest for me.
Also appropriate as I want to work on my new idea of the Fairy Godmother of Grosse Pointe.

Hey, is this still going on? I live in Clinton Township but I go to school in GP Woods. I just joined this morning :/ But I'd love to be able to go if I get the chance, and if these are still going on, of course.
