Part of writing is the fun is working with characters and situations outside our own knowledge. This can also be one of our biggest frustrations when it comes to research.

Okay, just a heads up, my specialties are pretty esoteric.
--Anime. Subs versus dubs, fansubs versus licensed, which anime fandoms get the most badfic. . . While it's impossible to have seen all the anime ever made, I've seen quite a bit and have at least heard of a lot of the more famous ones. Same goes for manga. In fact, the anime subculture in general.
--Japanese language. While I'm nowhere near fluent, I can certainly tell you how to ask if it's okay to do something, or honorifics, or those pesky casual vs. polite vs. honorific vs. humble forms.
--Playing flute. I didn't do marching band, but I played flute in symphonic bands from the 6th to the 12th grade.
--Sculpting, especially in ceramic and polymer clays. Haven't done much casting, though.
--Typography. Two years dealing with type does things to you.
--Graphic design/art and the related BSing skills.
So, yeah. I told you it was all pretty esoteric. ^^; If you have any need for any of my knowledge, just ask.

--- general gore | basically if you are stuck in a scene involving murder, vampires, werewolves, cannibals, ripping limbs, eating guts, (pfft) - you know, things like that.

--- soccer | i played for 4 years, so yanno.
