Hey all!

Last year we thought about organizing a write-in for the tri-cities area, but never quite got around to it. Would anyone be up for it this year?

I would probably be up for it but will be working around wrestling practice...I'm in Johnson City.

I'd be willing if I can work it in around my work schedule (I'm a nurse and work 12hr nights). I'm going to try to make it to at least one of the Knoxville write-ins as well.

Yes, I'd be interested. Currently located outside of Johnson City.

Well, I'm up in Bristol, but I'd definitely be willing to drive down to you guys. Are there any days/times that work (or don't work) for you? Pretty much the only day I wouldn't be able to meet would be on Sundays. Should we have a kickoff party?

Also, I'm not at all familiar with Johnson City, so do you guys have some suggestions on where we could meet?

I'd say a kick off idea would very much depend on whether someone wanted to organize it.

As for days and times. . . most evenings after 1700 are good for me. How about the rest of y'all?

Will depend on my practice schedule, but should be fine at least some days...

I'm in Johnson City as well.
I would suggest Joe Mugs in Books-a-Million as a good place to have meetings if we're looking for a place. Coffee, snacks, tables and wifi, and I have a discount card we can use as long as it doesn't get too ridiculous. They're pretty good about sharing those things.

I'm willing to organize, but be warned--I've never done anything like this before :) If you could all send me days and times next week that would be good for a kick-off party, I'll see if I can come up with a couple of options. And does Books-a-Million sound good to everyone?

There are only ten days until NaNo!

BAM is, of course, fine with me.
I'm good any day after 6 or so, and I'd prefer a day sometime in the middle of the week as weekends are pretty hectic. Tuesday or Wednesday most preferable.

Anytime Tuesday evening would be good for me. Thursday after 6:30 would work.

Tuesday should work for me as well, though if I have to work I wouldn't be able to get there until about 8:00.

I'm in Johnson City also. BAM is good. Other than being a M-F 8-to-5er, I'm pretty available for WriMo gatherings.

I'd definitely be in favor of some write-ins - I've been able to spew thousands of words that way!

That time works for me as well, though I've got no issues making it at 8 if anyone can't make it until later. Plus, it'll give us working stiffs time to eat some dinner and relax beforehand.

I do have to work Tuesday night, so would 8 work with everyone? If not, that's okay. I'll just make it to another meeting. Speaking of, how often do we want to have write-ins? And do we want to keep them on Tuesdays, or do your weekly schedules change too much to know right now?

Hello :) This is my first year to do nano since 2004. Thought I would check out what's happening in the Tri-Cities area. I am a Kingsport resident but can travel around :)

So what time are we going with? 6:30 or 8? I hope everyone checks the board before tonight...

I missed your kick-off meeting, but hope to join you another time. Big Mama, I also hope to meet with a Knoxville group sometime. Perhaps, if I didn't spend so much time running the roads I would actually meet my writing goals. I'm in Hawkins County, far, far from everywhere.

Good luck to all of you as we burn up our keyboards in November!

I was there from 6:30 until I finaly gave up at 7:45, but didn't meet up with anyone else. I had a really great mango smoothie though, so it wasn't a complete loss!

I realized LAST NIGHT (Wednesday) that the meeting was on Tuesday and not Wednesday and I had missed it.
So! What're the chances of meeting next week? lol

I wasn't sure if anyone was going to be there at 8, and I didn't want to drive down if I was going to be the only one, so I didn't. But I'd love to try again!

I am not sure if you allow the younger (teenagers) to join in on these things, but I know of quite a few who are participating in this, and if you all ever meet, we would all love to meet, too.

Just throwing that out there.
