A great big hello to all you ASCers attempting NaNoWriMo this year!

I'm Tally. I'm a first year. This is my 2nd year doing NaNo, and I'm totally psyched!

Hi Tally!

I'm Quinn. I graduated from Agnes in 07 and am currently the Chemistry TA. Come visit me some time if you want to talk about November woes/successes/etc. I'm in BSC 302

Aw! I'm an ASC grad, representing the Sirens, class of '04! I'm so glad to see more people doing NaNo from Agnes! Most of my friends as well as myself didn't hear about NaNoWriMo until a couple months after graduation, unfortunately.

I'm about thirty minutes to the east of Decatur (in Lawrenceville), but I'm waving a banner of support!

chorton4, if you can make it out to the Gwinnett Kick-Off Party at Atlanta Bread Company at the Mall of Georgia tomorrow night at seven, we'd love for you to be there!

Hey, ladies!

I'm Alisha, a '11 Amazon who is doing her second year of NaNoWriMo. I didn't know anybody on campus who was trekking along with me so this year I'm really looking forward to commiserating/ celebrating with y'all!

Hey!
I'm Kyra, and I'm a sophomore at ASC this year. (Amazons rock the jungle!) This is my first NaNo, though I've known about it for several years before now. I'm somewhere between really excited and really ready to go screaming in the other direction. Yay!

Hello lovely Scotties! I'm Beck, class of 2010 (YAY PHOENIXES!!!!). This is my 3rd year attempting NANO--didn't finish first-year, but won sophomore year (aka, last year)--anyway, I'm thrilled and terrified and psyched and...full of energy for it! I mean, what better way to procrastinate then NaNoing, right?! Um...I'm in Inman 315 if anyone wants to have a writing session next month (I think we should, there are so few Scotties that do this). Happy writing!!! :D

Wow, there are a lot of Scotties doing NaNo this year. When I was your age... (clears throat) Ahem. I'm Sujin, a senior at good old Agnes doing my seventh year of NaNo. Yeah, I'm old. Look for an email/PM from me in the near future, as I'll likely be sending weekly Nano-related emails like I did last year. If you did NaNo last year and were on my list, you know the general format. Anyone up for some Agnes NaNo events?

*has been throwing up flyers and offering cookies to fellow Scotties for joining up all of October* I am totally down for writing events for just us girls. Would they be in McCain or Java Monkey or the Hub or something? I'm more than willing to offer up my room (Main 215) for write-ins, as well, I am in a double and have no roommate so there's extra furniture and such enough for a handful of people to hang for a few hours (more if people bring their own disc chairs!).

What would everyone think about having an informational NaNo meeting during com. hour on Friday? We could meet in the basement of Winship or something. Just to give everyone who is confused about NaNoWriMo a chance to get their questions answered and/or decide whether or not it's something they might want to attempt this year?

@LadyStarPhyre : So you're the person who's been putting up the NaNo flyers! I've meant to put some up myself but haven't gotten around to it yet. Hooray!

As for the write-ins, they could be wherever. In someone's room, in McCain, the Hub--I'm not really picky. I have a loft in Inman, so I also have plenty of space for writing, especially if we bring more chairs.

@year_seven : Good idea! Isn't the basement of Winship always locked, though? Either way, we can keep the door open to let people in during that hour and meet in the lobby if we do meet there. I'm also making a post to the Agnes LJ community about NaNo in case people don't check the forums.

That looks good.
I just commented. (I'm musical_junkie on LJ, BTW. I hate my NaNo name, but I can't change it without deleting my account.)

Woo!! First year Scottie and first year doing NaNo. Have no idea what to expect or anything, but am still really excited. I'm planning on just writing a bunch of short stories probably all interconnected somehow. :D

Hi! It's Meghan! Just checking in one thread. For those who weren't at the meeting, I'm a first year, I've never done NaNo before, but I am way excited to try this year.

Hi, I'm Denise, representing ASC Class of 06--Go Vixens! In any case, even though I'm not there anymore, this is my first time doing NaNoWriMo and it would have been awesome to be able to do it during school. So, huzzah for this group :-)

I'm having a write-in at my apartment (just off the Decatur Square) for anyone who wants to start writing at Midnight on the 1st. Send me a message if you want more details.

I'm Chantal and I DON'T NEED NO INTRODUCTION.

I'm a first year. First year doing WriMo. I like Japanese stuff, cats, and sleeping and sex. I've been writing ever since I was a kid, but I never really got serious about doing it until Meghan forced me into this thing.

Be gentle.

I couldn't imagine NOT doing NaNo, school interfering or not. That's why.

Hi guys. My name is Kati and I graduated in May and am currently doing the Year 5 program. I decided to give this a try, since I was bitten by an idea.

Hi Scotties, I'm not a Scottie, but I live in Decatur. My name is Jimmy and this is my first year doing NaNo. Would love to meet some fellow writers, maybe if we can get a bunch of Decatur-ites together we can have a Scottie and non-Scottie Decatur get together or something. Sounds like NaNo is pretty popular at ASC! Good luck to everyone.
