Ok, as the countdown to November 1st is well under way, my suggestion is we meet this coming Saturday the 25th at Cafe Korb (http://www.cafekorb.at) in the first district at 3 p.m. and take it from there ...

They've got an 'art lounge' room in the back that looks like it would be a good space for meeting, and I know they've got good coffee.

Sound good to you guys? If so, will reserve a table.

Hi all,

first to clarify: Stephan and I have been communicating and somehow got our signals crossed about when/where the initial Nano meeting would take place, so BOTH meetings are going forward:
the one on Saturday the 25th at 3 p.m. and the one on Friday the 31st at 5 p.m. (see Stephan's other posts).

Regarding the meeting on Saturday, I tried to get a table at Cafe Korb, but they've got some event on that afternoon and it wasn't possible to make a reservation.

So instead I've reserved a table at:

Cafe Prueckel (Stubenring 24, 1st district - opposite the MAK).

Same time: 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Stephan plans to come as well.

Hope to see any Nanos who can make it then, and otherwise on the 31st!

And this of course also goes for German/Austrian writers.

Regarding the Nano Google calendar, I have to confess I wasn't aware it existed & don't know how that works. I'm pressed for time at the moment with various appointments today - would it be possible for you to enter the information above into the calendar (only if it's not too much trouble)?

Otherwise, I'll see if I can figure it out this evening.

Sure I'll take care of it, but I'll put you as the "username", because I'm not sure if I'll be able to come...would be silly if people try to get in touch with me :)

The calendar is easy, ... on the first page to the German&Austria regional forums, there's a bunch of blah, blah, blah in German about the calendar at the top. Click on "Kalendar" to see the calendar, Click on "mich" to send an e-mail to get your event on the calendar, and click on the Google button to add the calendar to your personal google calendar (if you already have one).

I sent the e-mail already and hopefully it will be on the calendar soon.

Well don't thank me too soon...seems the event hasn't popped up on the calendar yet :( And I don't know if it makes anymore sense to try and get it on there at this point. Since I don't know what any of you look like, what name is the table at Pruekle under?

Dear comrades

Yesterday had our first NaNo “working” meeting in Vienna. First we met in the Austrian standardization institute, in Heinestrasse 38 in Vienna. The PR manager, Dr. Stern, welcomed the participants and introduced the enterprise. The group ON has two enterprises, the charitable association (Austrian Standard Institute) and the distribution enterprise AS Plus GmbH. I myself work in the AS Plus GmbH and could organise thus the rooms. After the introduction of Dr. Stern we have talked in the cafeteria casually. In the next part of our meeting it was about the arrangement of other subsequent meetings.

We had the following arrangement:

In November we want to meet each Friday.

The next meeting is on Friday 7th of November at 17:00 o'clock.

Other meetings are the 14th of November, the 21st of November and 28. November each at 17:00 o'clock. I will try to book room 230 for these meetings again. Then we can work, as already discussed, in this room and stay for talks in the cafeteria.
In this manner a workroom and a recreational room is available to us.

Whether with the room reservation will work, I will still let know you.

In the entrance area with the lifts you find a monitor (on the right above the lift doors). There you find - under the entry NaNoWriMo Treff - the valid room registered.

At the beginning of December we want to have a NaNoWriMo finishing party. Moreover we want to agree on that meeting at the latest at the middle of November.

At the yesterday's meeting four comrade's who had already taken part at the meeting on Saturday last week in Kaffee Prückel were present. Two of the ladies after the meeting which went possibly till 19:00 o'clock, had an appointment and could not take part in the lengthening of the meeting in a bar in the second district.
