NaNo'Eve Party?

I know this is a bit of a tricky date and all, what with being Halloween, but is anyone interested in me putting together some kind of RL NaNo'Eve kick-off party? I don't think our MASSIVEGIGANTANORMOUS region has ever had one - WHICH IS A SHAME!

My Idea: We have a Costume Kick-off somewhere (anyone know a good 24 hour place that is NOT McDonalds?) starting at 11PM somewhere in HK (anyone recommend a roughly centeralized location?). Costumes, food, drink, and as our clocks strike 00:00 - WRITING!

I think the later start would be better, allowing people to go out on Halloween and have fun and join parties before NaNo. And of course, being a Friday this year should help a lot as well!

So, please chuck me your opinions! If this is something most of you seem interested in and would be willing help with (in regards to recomendations for location, etc.), I will see what I can do!

Anyone doing nanowrimo in Hubei province this year? Yichang? Wuhan? I'm in Yidu, which was a one hour bus ride from Yichang, but now because of work being done on the road is about two hours.

Hi, where'd all the Beijing folks go? We're three NaNo-ers in one household, over in Haidian. We have access to nice class space (doesn't feel too institutional, available evenings) so could possibly have a get-together?
