So, any NaNo buddies from the Orland Park area who might want to get together for a coffee or something and write during November?

I live in Evergreen and if I can find a plot, I'd love to meet up. I would be happy to meet at a library or someplace in between. I avoid LaGrange Ave. after the 15th of Nov. Too much traffic.

Hi! I'm somewhere around Orland Park, but I'm probably going to be participating in the Naperville goings-on since its the closest to me. =)

Hi! I'm near Orland Park as well (I work in Tinley!) I'd love to meet up. I'm trying to avoid having to drive all the way out to Naperville or into the city this year, so its great to find some people close.
(I'm going to add you all to my buddy list so we can keep in touch.)

Yay! More southsiders!
You are in a pretty central location from all of us. Is there a nice place to sit and meet? Your library? Corner Bakery or something like that?

The Library in Midlothian isn't a great place to hang out, unless I could talk to my friend who is on the board and see if we could take up one of the conference rooms. The problem with the main part of the library is that it's all one one floor and pretty open, so if there are kids in there, it can be rather loud . . .
A place I always liked hanging out at is Cosi's. They're located on 151st and Lagrange in Orland. I like that they have comfortable seating, but there are other places in that area.
Midlothian has the Omega, which is a Greek restaurant. It's hours are better than Cosi's . . .
The only bakery I can think of that I've been to is Baker's Square and that's in Orland Park too. Actually, most of the places I eat tend to be in Orland. LOL Midlothian doesn't have much . . .

I work in Hazel Crest and Matteson so I'm close by that area most days too.
I haven't been able to finish the last couple years so I'm looking to step up my commitment and get this thing done. I want to set a good example for my kids and have them see me finish what I start.

Now you've got me scared I'm not going to finish!!!! Does anyone else have a busy November? I was looking at my calendar and I figure I'm going to have to beg my husband to let me lock myself in our room so that I can get away from the kids!
My 6 year old daughter signed up for the Young Writers Program for Nano! She'll be writing in a notebook and then I'll type it out for her at the end of the month. Her goal is only 1500 words, but she hasn't written anything with a plot before . . . it will be interesting. I made her go over all the chapters in her head and I typed them out for her. LOL Don't worry; when we all meet up, I won't be bringing the 6 year old! LOL
I still don't have a title for my nano . . . anyone else in the same boat as me?

Hi all I live and work in Orland Park, and grew up in Tinley. I'm wishing you all luck, and though this is my second year trying to win this, I failed last year.
Ever want to get together for a coffee or anything let me know.

I work right by Orland, so I'd be down with meeting there. I'll probably be bringing a friend with me who doesn't have steady internet access (or a car, I'm going to have to drive her) but is really excited to do her first Nano.
But second week of November I'm getting a transfer at work (though i don't know where to yet), so I'm not sure how often after that I'll be able to meet. (It'll depend on which location I get transferred to and what kind of schedule they give me).
But anyway, for next week at least, I'll be available most evenings if anybody wants to get together around Orland (I've always been fond of the Denny's but am willing to go wherever).
Angie--I wouldn't worry about not having a title. That's something I usually come up with well after I start writing, so I wouldn't worry about if I were you. Until a few days ago I was still calling one of the two novels I'm considering doing 'the Book of Awesome" because I didn't have a name for it.

Morning, all... I live in New Lenox, but grew up in Tinley. I'm poking around the threads for the first time this morning looking for meet-ups and more importantly a kick-off.

Okay guys, I'm off of work tomorrow around five and will be in the Tinley Park/Orland Park area if anybody is interested in meeting up for a little write-a-thon.
I spent yesterday at a friends house with the both of us writing and managed to get pretty far in one novel and resolve a plot issue on another so I can write the next three or so scenes today. It does help to have other creative people around you to spur you on. I'm hoping to write both my novels this month (because I'm incapable of choosing between them) which means I have twice as much work ahead of me and need lots of motivation--as it is, I'm going to need to do a 5k day today in order to catch up to where I should be at.
So, anybody interested in meeting around dinner-ish tomorrow, hit me up with a nanomail.
