DEMOGRAPHICS: I'm 28, live in Canton, work in Akron on an inpatient psych unit, married (still a newlywed), 0 kids, 1 cat.

NANO STATS: This is my second year technically, my last NaNoWriMo was in 2005 and I think I only got 10k into my novel.

WHO: I'm Cathy.
NANO STATS: This is my 3rd year doing Nanowrimo, hopefully my 3rd year winning too!
DEMOGRAPHICS: My age is unknown (LOL), live in Lawrence township, , married, 0 pets, and 1 little boy. My little boy did Nanowrimo YWP last year and won, and he plans on doing it again this year (he's 8).
ACHIEVEMENTS:Nothing terribly exciting, I'm afraid. I write mostly for my own enjoyment. I do blog frequently though, I've learned (basic fluency) Esperanto, and I've won both years (2007, 2008) that I've participated in Nanowrimo. The first year I wrote a "Monkeyboy" novel for my little boy based on stories I told him. The next year I wrote a speculative fiction novel that I'm currently still editing, and I *may* try to publish someday...not sure if self publish or not. Also, today completed the Cleveland Walk for Farm Animals with my little boy. :)
LIKES:Science fiction, ebooks, podiobooks, my Asus EEE, 80's rock, tea and chocolate, blogging and doing miniactivism for HR/AR, prefer Star Trek to Star Wars, my favorite color is pink, and my favorite author is Douglas Adams.

Hellooo. I wasn't planning on trying this again but, once again, NaNoWriMo has me back in its weird, clammy grasp.
Who: I'm Aarika, screenname Merinda, answers to just about anything close to either of those.
Stats: This is my fourth year, but I have taken a few years off and haven't participated since '06. I have yet to finish but I have some really intensely annoying Word documents to prove that I tried.
Demographics: I'm 29, I live in Columbiana County and I work as a retail flunky to pay the bills.
Likes: caffeine, getting mail when you aren't expecting it, pumpkin-raisin cookies
Dislikes: people who whistle/snap their fingers to get the attention of others, olives (black AND green), not being able to think of a third thing for balance

Demographics: I am sixteen and do not actually live in Canton, but it is my closest region. No kids, but I do have a dog that is my baby. =}
Achievements: I won last year, but that is about it at this point.
Likes: Ballroom dancing, hot chocolate, music, running, and swimming.
Dislikes: Green beans, off-season down time, and those ellusive purple bars...

WHO: My name is Shirley, or Lucratcia on the forums.
NANO STATS: This will be my 3rd year. I won last year and gave up my first year because being pregnant and trying to look at a computer screen just didn't work.
DEMOGRAPHICS: I'm 25, live in Wadsworth, self employed, and married. We have a wonderful 15 month old daughter, two snakes, and two dogs.
ACHIEVEMENTS: My daughter and winning NANO last year.
LIKES: Playing with my daughter, gaming, writing, reading anything I can get my hands on, mochas, and open people.
Side note: I'm usually part of the Akron group, but they are not having a kickoff on the 1st this year, so I decided to see what you guys were up to. Also, I do not think I could do a NANO without being excited, and this year, I just don't seem to be that into it. So, I'm trying to meet up with some people and get excited about it. I don't even know what I'm going to write about yet. So, that's my spiel, I hope to be able to come to the meetings and meet you guys.
