I joined this one because there was not one for River Falls, Wisconsin. Just curious if anyone in this group was in that area :)

I'm way on the other side of E.C. - Neillsville. I'm sure you'll find some people from your neck of the woods.

if you commit yourself you are really going to LOVE it, and hate it and love it all over again, there is NOTHING like the feeling of reaching the 50,000 word mark. Throw out the rules of grammer and english, throw out spelling and punctuation and just write, and write and write and write some more, it doesnt matter what you write, dont be critical and dont judge, just write.
NANAO lecture done for the day- its going to be a wild ride!!!

Also a university student, originally from Milwaukee. But seeing as I'll be spending all of November locked in my room up here typing furiously on my laptop, I really belong in this region. :)

So has anyone actually heard of any meet-and-greets or powwows or anything along those lines? Nothing motivates like hanging out with other people attempting the same plateful of crazy as you, after all.

I'm from Wausau originally, moved to Eau Claire and attended UWEC for a spell...now, I'm trying to decide if I care enough to finish my degree. We should definitely set up some meet and greet activity. I'm a big fan of Clancy's (on Barstow) for those of legal drinking age...and Racy's coffee or Infinitea teahouse for those below. Let's all go crazy together.

I THINK THAT WE SOULD MEET ONCE A WEEK- AND FOR THOSE WHO CANT PHYSICALLY MEET THEN WE CAN INSTANT MESSAGE AND SHARE OUR EXPERIENCES, OUR LOVE, OUR HATE, OUR JOY , OUR INSANITY, THE WIERDEST CHARACTERS MADE UP ON THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT, THE PLOT PATHS OUR NOVELLAS HAVE TAKEN, OUR TRIUMPHS, AND OUR OOOPPPSIES, WHAT WE HAVE GIVEN UP AND WHAT WE HAVE GAINED- I THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT- SO PICK A TIME AND A PLACE- i AM THINKING SUNDAY AFTERNOONS- FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TO WORK AND SINCE IT STARTS ON A SUNDAY IT MIGHT BE GREAT FOR A WEEKLY RECAP--------
WHAT DOES EVERYBUGGY THINK???????
WE CAN DO THIS- ITS TERRIFING AND WONDERFUL ALL AT THE SAME TIME- ROCK AND WRITE ON!!!

I'm very interested in meeting with peeps who are on the same crazeh-boat I'm riding. A few of my friends have done NaNo with me in the past, but now it seems like I'm the only one still interested.

Racy's is great. I've never actually been to InfinitTEA, but I've heard good things. Are there any other places folks are interested in getting together at? I'm not very particular, myself. I also like the idea of weekly meetings. I'm sure it would be difficult, what with the schedule cramming everyone has to do in November, but it would be a great way to unwind and vent about noveling and maybe bounce some ideas around. I'd totally get into that!

=)

I'm a sophomore at UWEC, English ed. major. I'm originally from Madison, but since I'll be here for the whole month of November, I'd consider this my home region. I'm happy to see some many other UWEC students participating ^_^

Hey you Owen-Withiers we should get together! This is my second official NaNo but previous novels of mine are under consideration with publishers as we speak. This is my time to write with 'Literary Abandon' and put the inner editor away for 30 days.

I make a great cup of chai tea, keep a steady supply of yummy creamers on hand and would love to have some company. BYOLT - Bring your own Lap Top :)

Well, I live outside of Knapp, work in Eau Claire, and grew up in Bloomer. This is my first NaNo but I did something similar this past February. I have a very rough outline of what I'm writing and am looking forward to November.
