Because I've seen a couple of new names on the Singapore search and I'm nosey, I thought I'd start up this one again.
Come on in! Say hello! Tell us about yourself! We're friendly. Slightly nuts, but friendly!

Hello forums, it's nice to see you again. Oh and fellow nanowrimoers as well.
My name's Justin Lau, nickname Jusco.
Not really a newbie, some of you may remember me from 2005 (when I was actually in Singapore) and 2006 (writing in Japan). I just graduated from High School this past June (Christian Academy in Japan) and am back in Singapore for NS. Unfortunately instead of enlisting in the fall batch (since it was full), I have to wait till February and this is extremely aggravating as it means I'll be heading to college in America 3 years later, not 2.
Since I'm free now (not really, but I am done with school and work for the meantime) I decided to do Nanowrimo this year as I've been writing quite a bit recently.

Hihi! I'm Caroline!
I'm 14 (okay turning 15 in a month or two)
Been occupying myself with fanfiction but I'm right on ready to get back to the boys and girls that've been running around in my head ( and making a lot of noise ).
"CAN YOU GUYS KEEP IT DOWN BACK THERE?"
First time attempting NaNo:D slightly mad but that's totally fine (right...?)
I spend far too much time making funny random animal noises and waving to random people who happening to (unfortunately) cross my path.
All in all, nice to meet you!!

Being slightly mad is perfectly okay! I'm beginning to think that it's pretty much the norm; we're attempting to write a 50,000 novel in 30 days, after all XD

No, being slightly mad is not ok.
You need to be absolutely batguanory Oreillery insane before you can hope to finish wrimo.

It seems that some degree of insanity is needed when attempting NaNo. So madness kinda runs through everyone.

Yep. I'm back.
Hi.
This will be my... third year trying this? And feck. It's probably gonna be my best try at it, because of the sheer UNBUSYNESS that comes with waiting for NS.
So yeah.

Hello!
I'm Pei Yun, 15, second year attempting NaNo. I'm a semi-newbie too; it's my first year in Singapore. That said, I'll spend half of November, give or take a few days, in each Singapore and Malaysia. So... yeah. HELLO!
I am prepared to war with words this year! I mean, who cares about Chinese O Levels when there's NaNoWriMo?

Hai gaiz.
You can call me leshwt, or just lesh for short. This is my first NaNoWriMo- I first heard about it in June and decided to actually go through with this just yesterday night.
This year is perfect for it, actually, seeing that I'm in my second year of NS and I'll have lots of free time in November before I ORD in December.
I'm 20 this year, and am going to study in NUS next year. I'll be in FASS, so here's a premptive "Hello!" if there's any Humanities people out there.
Great to meet you all!

Hi, I'm Oblivion-Soul, I'm 14, and this is my first year attempting NaNo as well. Uhh, writing is my hobby and plot bunnies are my bests friends. I have not much experience in writing, save for fanfictions, but I'm willing to try. Looking forward to November xD Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu.

My name's Joel, but I go by the handle gamers2000. Why? My sis has a '2000' suffix in her username, it was the year 2000, I was ten and I loved games (still do, by the way.)
This is my first time attempting NaNoWiMo, and I have absolutely NO idea what I'm getting into. (Especially in a polytechnic, where Novembers are when the term STARTS. *Grimaces*)
I haven't written any full length stories at all. In fact, the last time, as well as all the times before that that I wrote were for assignments, so this is probably the first time I'm just writing for fun.
I'll probably never reach near the 50k mark, as school's gonna be crazy, I don't even know what I'm going to write about, but it's probably gonna be pretty fun, so.
Mmhmm. Hi.

Btw, I was wondering, about the 50 000 words, can they be about anything at all? Like say, can we write a 50 000 word fanfiction?

It can be absolutely anything you want, including fanfiction. Basically: if you consider what you're writing as a novel, then it's a novel.

Hello! :D
juzblue here. Not exactly a newbie - I've done NaNo since 2004 when I was 14 (with the exception of 2007), but this will be my first year doing it in Singapore. :) I'm Malaysian, uni freshman this year. Nice to see a lot more students here - at least I know I'm not the only one balancing my finals and NaNo. (And no, we didn't need that reminder, did we?)
I have no plot, no story and no idea how uni finals are like. Oh well. Some people say 'Not knowing where you're going is half the fun'; I shall hang on to that. :)

Hello, I'm Koon Hui. I start calling myself Raph, short for Raphael because I think people suck at remembering chinese name, some months ago. Don't really have a pen name but I do go by "Yours Truly". Which means I. Because I am I. Got it? Never mind, not important.
Never really written a novel before. Prose's not really my genre though I do want to try out at writing. Do have some ideas here and there but I'm quite sure it would suck. I'm more of a poet than a novelist really.
I'm 20. Single(very much available in fact since I've never been taken before). Got into NaNoWriMo because Leshwt introduced it to me. First year doing it. Arguably excited. Affirmatively apprehensive. Just quantity and no quality so I'm going to just whack.
Serving NS. Ending on the 8th of November. Heading for NUS FASS next year. Probably majoring in lit.
And that's it.

nice to meet you guys, was quite shocked to discover so many singaporeans are participating in the event! Q_Q This is my first year, got the ear of word from a oversea friend. Alway had dreams that was interesting and wanted to write them down or make them into a story, but never really had the motivation to do so. I'm hoping NaNoWriMo will help me =O

Hi I'm blacklilac,
Malaysian but studying in Singapore, fourteen in a week or so,prone to having to write my ideas on tissue paper and napkins because I forgot to bring my notebook, and always coming up with really weird ideas before I sleep.
Its my first NaNo, and I'm kinda terrified. I'm terrified of everything, so I don't think this counts.
I think that purple is a great colour, and it isn't a gay colour! That's horizontal rainbow stripes on a rectangular piece of cloth they call a flag. Too many explanations seem to have taken their toll. ish.
anyone love phineas and ferb? I think I have to log off now. I keep feeling compelled to edit, edit and edit!
okay I'm running out of things to say. greetings again and a happy new year! (coming or belated, take your pick)
bidding you goodbye,
.blacklilac.
