I work until midnight so I won't be able to make many of the scheduled write ins and I was wondering if there was anyone who'd like to get together for morning write ins in the Durham area, either at the Panera at Patterson Place or McAlister's at New Hope Commons, both right off 15-501 between Durham and Chapel Hill.

Both places have free wi-fi and are pretty accomodating to those that want to camp out for a few hours.

Finally, someone right near where I live! :D

I have classes Monday through Thursday, but I could probably make Friday mornings. It depends on my parents though, since I can't really drive at the moment. Maybe we could have an October meet-up at some point to figure out a time/place we like without a wordcount hanging over our heads? Am I right in thinking that you mean the Panera right near the Chinese place, the wine place, Cold Stone, etc.?

Excellent, an October meet up would be great. We could also do write ins in Durham during the evenings I'm not working. It's just too expensive to drive all the way to Cary or Brier Creek but write ins are one of my favorite things about NaNo and I'd hate to miss out on the experience.

Yes, that's exactly the Panera I mean. I work at the Kroger right in that same plaza so it's super convenient for me.

Yeah, I'm there all the time- that Chinese place is addicting!

Well, I'm guessing my schedule is more flexible than yours, so do you want to pick a time/day for our October meet-up? My classes end at 12:30 on Monday and Wednesday, so I suppose we might be able to do a write-in at about 1, assuming that works for you. I'm in classes till 3ish Tuesday and Thursday, and I'll be away next Tuesday-Thursday, but other than that I'm not a very busy person.

I live really close to Wynnsong, so places in that area are perfect for me. So if there's anyone who'd like to meet up in there, that'd be good, too.

I would like to join you too, if that's okay. My schedule flip flops day to day, sometimes I work in the mornings, sometimes evenings, and its looking like a lot of the other write-ups are conflicting with my schedule, so having a morning option is great. I live in Burlington, but work in Durham and Raleigh, so anywhere is fine with me.

Sorry for the delay, I haven't figured out how to get updates in my email yet and I keep forgetting to pop back in.

I think an October meet up, anytime after 10am and before 3:30pm would be great. We can try for a day sometime next week if that works for you.

I live on the other side of Target from Winnsong, so Brueggers could be a good meet up place too.

*gasp* That would rock my world. I love Brueggers.

Well, I'm just gonna throw out 11am next Friday at Brueggers as a random possibility, since I know that'll work for me. Anyone else want to do that?

Well, I'm the one who SUGGESTED Bruegger's, but I just wanted to make sure we were clear. I'll be at the MLK Bruegger's (by Wynnsong and Harris Teeter) at 11am tomorrow. I'll try to be obvious. Maybe I'll bring my laptop?

Oh, and if someone could give me a ride home afterwards (I live like 5, maybe 10 minutes away) that'd be super-awesome. Otherwise I have to walk. x-x; Which would suck.

I'll totally show, and I'll bring my lappie too. Even if it's just the two of us who show up, it should still be a good start for October.

Oh, and I can almost probably definitely give you a ride, too.

Anyone interested in another pre-NaNo prep party? It's getting to be about that time! :)

The Barnes and Noble at Southpoint now has free wi-fi, plus there's the Brueggers', McAlister's, and Panera that people already mentioned.

I can meet Wednesday 1-4 or after 6, Thursday after 7, and Friday 1-6. Anyone free at those times? (I'm also free tonight, but that might be a bit short notice.)

I'm pretty much available on Fridays about any time, and I can probably get to NHC. (My general situation is, if you can give me a ride home, it incredibly increases my chances of being able to go, since my parents only have to drive one way. Still, occasionally they're nice enough to drive both ways.)

I already suggested a meet-up (and both of us had fun! :D), so since I don't want to start controlling our little Durham group by accident, I'll let someone else throw out a time and place they like for the next one. Odds are, if it's on a Friday, I'll be there. (Even if it's not on a Friday, I'll still try to be there.) My only request is, if it's a cafe or whatever, don't pick an expensive one. :( Some of us are starving college students.

Hey guys, I also live in the area near New Hope Commons, and if you guys are still doing anything throughout the month, I would love to get a chance to meet up with people who are sharing my same goal, and just get writing with everyone and work to get this thing done ya know? I'm really excited about my first time here, and I'd love to hang around with people who also share my same sentiments.
