I like your quote!

Monday night isn't a write-in per se, because NaNoWriMo doesn't officially begin until 12:01 AM November 1st. It's to get local Wrimos together to meet and get pumped up for next Sunday. Also, it's a good time to ask questions, and if I'm lucky, I might even have the answers!

See you there...

Hey Erin,

I was all set to come up when my car decided to misbehave! And I have special write-in-only stickers to hand out, too.

I'll be at the Petaluma library write-in tomorrow, so I'll see you then!

Well, last night we had a tight little band of pluckers and hackers with failed batteries and good coffee and wonderful encouragement and conversation.

And there is a bit of a change in the schedule. The cafe has taken on open mike nights and a regular band gig to drum up business. So, we are being flexible. The writing times are changing to 3-6PM Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Now, if we had the room packed with writers, we wouldn't have to have all the loud music.

On Mondays, they have decided to close at 6PM, something new, so we can't have our 4-7 slot. BooBoo, I need you to change the schedule to reflect the 3-6 times. I am changing the posters. Cafe Azul is open until 10 Tuesdays through Saturdays, and they open early, 7 AM. With free internet, it really is a writer's dream.

Bring your ear phones and bundle up. I will be there tonight, although not on the schedule. Come by and have some fun and get to know your book even better!

I hate when those cars let us down!
We had 19 writers chugging coffee and adding to their word count last night at the library.
See you tonight at the Petaluma library!

Hi Shastra,

I'll change the Azul listing and and Master Calendar. In the future, feel free to also make a new thread announcing a change like this in the schedule, to give people a loud and clear heads-up (I've already done it for this one). There are so many posts/threads now that a change like this can get buried all too easily.

Thanks for keeping up such great energy at Cafe Azul. And for those of you who haven't been there yet, it really is very special!

Hi folks -

I went to the Monday Nov 2 write-in in Sebastopol but couldn't ID other Wrimos.
I brought my new official mug, even, but it didn't help.

Help, you experienced folks: How can we find each other?

Tina

Hi, Tina!
We were in the Forum Room! Its the round room right behind the check out counter.
In Petaluma on Tuesdays we're in the community room on your right off the mail entryway.

That brings up a good point -- the library write-ins are probably in a community or forum room. Ask the front desk folks and they can tell you. Of course, you can always just sit anywhere and write, though!

See you on Monday!

I believe that most, if not all, the participating branches are making their forum room available for the write-ins. If you are not sure where that is located in the building any of the staff can help you. Hope to see you there!

Sorry I missed tonight's write-in at the central library, but I was a couple days behind in my word count and figured I needed to make every second count. I'm taking a break to watch my tv show and then another writing session before bed.

Aha - Forum Room! Thanks, Erin!

I've had the blasted flu since last Thurs, which has put a serious dent in both my writing progress and in any socializing. But hope to meet some of you in the Seb library's special insiders' writing cove next Monday.

On another note, I went to Cafe Azul on an off time and liked it very much.

Just a quick reminder that there won't a write-in at the Petaluma library tomorrow (nov. 17th) because the Friends will be having their book sale.
Of course, you could always go and find a quiet corner and write anyway ... !

I hope someone else will join me at the Petaluma library tonight -- I'm on a creative roll and could use some company!
