So, I post this every year, and I only get a couple people in this area...and then we don't manage to meet up, haha. But I'm pretty determined to change that this year!

So, any Gurnee wrimos out there?

I'm pretty close to Gurnee... somewhere in the empty space between Wauconda and Grayslake.

I'm in Grayslake - when are you thinking about doing this?

I'm not sure how long of a drive it is, but the library in North Chicago is doing a couple of NaNo events this November, and providing meeting space, computers, and possibly even some rentable alphasmarts!

I think North Chicago is out of my league. Granted, it's only about an hour and a half (maybe?) but I can't make it that far. xD

Technically, I'm in Round Lake so...you guys pick a place and date and we can try to make it happen, haha.

North Chicago is pretty close to Gurnee and Waukegan. For those of you familiar with the TriState, it's the exit for Buckley Road (IL 137).

Sorry, I should have clarified... the city of North Chicago, not the northern part of the city of Chicago. HOW CONFUSING, someone should have named that town better :D.

The North Chicago Public Library (www.ncplibrary.org) is at 2100 Argonne Dr, just north of the Naval Training Center.

I'm in Round Lake Heights. North Chicago is a pretty easy commute. I'd be up for a short drive as well. My first NaNo, so nice to know there are other folks nearby who will be frantically typing away.

I'm in Waukegan. Borders in Gurnee would be fine with me.

I'm in Deerfield, but willing to drive to the Gurnee area for write-in events.

I was just in that Borders today. There is also a Starbucks in that same complex, kitty-corner across from the Borders.

Coming from Libertyville -- I could totally do Borders in Gurnee. Anybody have a day/time in mind?

I live in Antioch, but work in Waukegan so Border's in Gurnee would probably be just about perfect for me. Weekdays after 6 and Sunday afternoons would work best.

I'm in Mundelein and I can do the Borders in Gurnee. This is my first NaNoWriMo.

I'd be coming from the Wauconda/Island Lake area. Borders would be doable for me. Oh! Coffee! :D

Would we be doing this as a once a week thing? If so, what weeknight? and time?

I live in Lakemoor (south of Fox Lake, west of Round Lake). There's a McHenry regional group, but I don't of any meetings yet, so I'd love to hook up with you guys.

As for me, Gurnee's closer than North Chicago, so I'd prefer that. And I know just where the Borders and the SBUX are there, so wherever you decide would work for me!

Oh, really?

I used to live in Island Lake, in the suburbs right across from the new Walgreens. All the good stuff comes up when I leave, haha.

Anyway, Borders it is. What's a good date/time for you all?

Weeknights after 6 are good for me, though Thursday nights don't work. Other than that, I'm open.

Just wondering, are any dates set up for us to meet in Gurnee? I'd like to get my Write-Ins on my calendar.

Tuesdays and Thursday nights work best for me, but Thursdays didn't work for someone. Other than that, Fridays work.

What works for everyone else?

And how late is Borders open?

Nice. =) You have access to DD, haha.

Anyway, I dunno how long Borders is open, but it's around 9 or ten. That's reasonable enough.

Every other weekend should be okay for me, but not weekdays. Feel free to set up a date and I'll let one of the ML's know to put it on the events calendar.

This is my first NaNo - I'd love to meet up with other writers crazy enough to do this! Borders in Gurnee is perfect - and Tuesday nights work great for me!

I got the who what, when, where and why...but don't ask me about the how.
