Careful Denver - those Glasgow characters are tough!

They are fond of delivering a "Glasgae Kiss" (head butt) to the unsuspecting.

We'd better take this challenge seriously!

Sabrina -- I still think you need to take me up on my challenge to write TWO novels this year! Even if you aren't in our region anymore. ;o)

I say no, because no one is buying the NaNo song so clearly I have to work harder at promoting that and therefore can't afford the extra time to write multiple novels and go to grad school. I am exempt!

Jeez Jupiter, is THAT your actual word count? *dies of shock*

Anyway, yeah. Let's do this. Two wars are better than one.

*Points around the Denver boards* Ask the people from last year. They will verify that I am insane and need no sleep. WHICH IS WHY GLASGOW IS TAKING YOU DOWN!

I hearby nullify your exempt status. If you can write 40k in 3 days, you definitely do NOT need to be exempt.

Though, as Lee pointed out tonight, I could wait to push the challenge until a future NaNo when you are back in our region again...

{{{thinks about it}}}

Nah, it's more fun this way. :-D

So yeah, as I was saying, if you can win NaNo in under a week -- you definitely can write two novels in November!

40K in 4 days, thank you very much! *Sniff* Besides, it's not my fault that you guys have all that sun and nice weather and mountains and outdoorsy stuff to distract you from noveling! All we've got here it...

...wait, SUN? What's the sun doing out? Damn it, now I HAVE to go outside and take pictures instead of writing and studying all day, GYAH!

You know, you guys are looking at this the wrong way. If I can manage to torture my wrists this much with grad school, moving to another country, job hunts, MLing, AND promoting an imminent album release, then maybe instead of trying to get me to do something to write less, YOU should just be writing MORE! >P

Nah, it was solely because it gave us a space for a write-a-thon! ...except not, but let's just say that was it and make me look like a good person, huh?

Incidentally, we're still kicking your butt! 7,983 words per person in Denver to 9,123 in Glasgow! *Boogies* ...ilu Denver?

Holy heart failure, jupiterstar, do you not have a day job? I could write that much too if I didn't have a job that i'm working overtime most days, and teaching myself guitar, and trying to finish watching all of the oscar best picture winners before the year is out!!!!!

We're still winning though, so ::sticks tounge out::!!!!!!

For your information you are NOT winning as we're doing this war based on averages since you guys have more than triple our numbers (*points to the top of the tread*) and therefore Glasgow's actually been pulling ahead every day. We're currently 2.5K ahead of you >P

And I don't have a day job; I'm in grad school full time plus promoting an album, practicing four instruments a day for about 5 hours or so, and looking for a job as I just moved here 2 months ago, so every time someone tells me that they have no time to write, I must laugh. This is me laughing, watch ^_^. *Insert evil little chipmunk laughter here*

It has nothing to do with her job status... Jupiter is just insane. She's one of those people who has ENTIRELY too much enegy. She's completely berserk... five minutes around her and you're a screaming nervous wreck. Even when she's sitting still she vibrates. You watch her in motion and break down into a crying ball on the ground realizing you will enver ever manage that much in so little time. Jupiter may actually be a small sweat shop in China. . . Chuck Norris once asked her autograph.

In short, Jupiterstar is made of Pure Awesome, with a heaping dose of Crazy.

I just did the math. Jupiter, do you realize that you are skewing the glasgow average up by 903 words right now? Our two peoples would be about even if you hasn't switched to the dark side. Calm yourself down! Have some chamomile tea. Maybe put on some Enya.......

Actually the average comes from the wordcount score card.

We don't do the math...I think I'd break if I had to do the math.

I know. I used the total words and average to find the number of participants, then subtracted Jupiter's numbers and refigured the average as it was right then. (And I thought I would never use my Algebra!). Jupiter skews the average up by about 900 words.
You're like Michael Phelps, probably beating whole regions on total word count my yourself.
