A lot of other regions have picked mascots to show their unity and general all around awesomeness. I'm putting it to you guys to offer up ideas as to what to call us. Last year our mascot was a shiny little Plot Ninja that I drew and brought to all our meetings. So, ideas?

I was thinking since PA rocks, we could be... well... rocks. Shiny, glittery rocks of writing goodness.

...But I am crazy.

The rocks idea is funny. I like that.

Or, since we are competing with Philly, I say we choose.... a Penguin. :)

Little shiny rocks? Like ... coal? How much more PA can you get? :)

How about Geodes? I mean, if we're going with rocks, personally, Geodes are my favorite. The ones that you break open and they have little crystals inside?

I see geodes all over the place, maybe it's just where I am, but at flea markets, and any form of tourist spot. I know they always make me think of home in PA.

I very much like the geode idea. It's fits the description of our nanowrimo novel ideas and even novels: rough on the ouside but a real gem when you break them open and look inside. The coal idea, however, is an absolutley perfect rock to describe PA: : Elsewhere. Since it's a mascot perhaps it could be a bit different, like a geode in a piece of coal. I love the rock mascot though, great idea. Good luck on your novels!

I really like this idea. I think we should call him 'Rocky.'
