I'm going to be writing in OpenOffice but I'll be using the Microsoft Office standard - Calibri 11 point. It's easier on my eyes than Times New Roman, plus I just think it looks nice.

I use DejaVuSans. It's a free font that gets bundled with OpenOffice, I think. It's simple and clean; the only difficulty with it is that capital i and lowercase L look the same.

I'll be using OpenOffice on my Ubuntu OS. I'll be writing in Nimbus Roman, which is the OO version of Times New Roman, and pretty much looks the same to me. I use it because it's the default. I've never felt a reason to switch to another font. I'm just lazy and pretty much only mess with fonts for final drafts of things.

In OpenOffice for Windows I'm trying to decide between Cambria 12, Sylfaen 12 or Perpetua 14 as my standard font.

For anything requiring a script font - monotype corsiva, hands down, no other choice.

Another interesting font is Estrangel Edessa which is a bit bolder and more block-like than any of my standard fonts.

I'm using Arial 11 pt. in MS Word 07. For my past two Nanos, I used the standard Calibri, which I liked very much, but I think I need to change things up a bit... Fonts are always fun to play around with, anyways.

Century Gothic in 12pt. That's what I used last year, and I use it for all my stories. I just love it, no idea why. xD

Lucida Sans, 10-point. I have an unhealthy obsession with the Lucida font family; I blame using Mac OS X for so many years for this, since Lucida Grande is the system font there. :)

Wingdings.

Just kidding, I'm actually using the default in Word 2007; that is, Calibri, 11 point.

For some reason, I've always hated Times New Roman, but I do love similar looking fonts.

So I will most likely go with Garamond, 12p but I also like Book Antiqua, Bookman Old Style, or Century.

I've usually used Times New Roman 12, but I'm thinking about a sans serif font this year, since I'm doing a science fiction story.

I've used Arial 11.5 in the past, but ever since installing RoughDraft I've grown an appreciation for the classic Times New Roman size 12. There's a reason some classics are classics.

I've never been a TNR fan. Classic it may be but it's not quite ... right. I prefer Palatino or Goudy Old Style as my stand-bys. When I'm playing, I like 5th Grader Bold and Jane Austen script. I have soo many fonts it's hard to choose from.

Consolas. I like to kick it old-school, in a monospaced font.

I swap between Calibri 11pt and Courier New 12pt, depending on how my eyes feel that day.

I usually stick with Times New Roman 12, but this time around I'm using Georgia 11

Courier, 12pt.

I never used to write with it. Always figured it was for those oldies who starting writing with typewriters ;) But I've learnt to love it over time. Readability is excellent, mostly due to it being monospaced. I'm not a font nerd or anything, but can be a bit picky with the readability of certain fonts. It's also good to visibly differentiate between the first draft and a final manuscript, too, I think. I don't want it looking like it's a completed work yet. That delight will (hopefully) come later when I can really see how the words are going to look on the page.

I used to use Optima a lot - still do now and then - but found that I don't pick up typos as easily due to less character differentiation. It's a nice looking font, though.

12pt Helvetica.

I just like it, it's the default font in Pages.

+1 for Courier New. I started writing on a typewriter, and I still get that warm, fuzzy, nostalgic feeling whenever I see fixed width fonts. (@RLFloyd below: I guess I'm one of your oldies!)

Palatino Linotype 10 or 11 pt.

I dislike Times New Roman a great deal, and this has been my font of choice for typing for a while now. Might try Calibri, too, though.

I'm using Microsoft Office Word 2007.
I think I'll be using Veranda, font size 10, though there is a chance I'll change my mind just before I start.

Verdana 10 pt or Copperplate Gothic Light 10 pt.

I'll probably only use Courier New only when I'm submitting. Me and Times New Roman just don't get along. :)

Georgia, probably size 12.
I have no idea why - I just really like that font at the moment.

this problem has been decided for me - there is no choice on a typewriter or an alphasmart Neo, besides that of size on the Neo. I find it rather liberating not to be faced with the endless possibilities for procrastination on the font front!

I'll probably use Arial size 12, since that's what I use for ll word documents, but I am starting to use Lucida Grande, so I might use that instead.

I used Garamond for my first two NaNo's, then Georgia for the next two. Last year I used Cambria, and now I'm choosing between Calibri, Lucida Sans Unicode or back to Cambria again :D
