Hey folks! Like the last two years, the Riverside write-ins will be held at the Coffee Depot by the Riverside Plaza. This coffee shop has ample seating, free wifi and a really great vibe. Our meetings this year will be held on Tuesdays, but we're likely to have a Sunday gathering as well, which I will post about here if details get ironed out more.

Where: Riverside Plaza Coffee Depot (Map here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Coffee+Depot+3540+River... )
(It's located almost directly opposite the Borders. You'll probably have to park in the big lot and walk over, but it's not far)
When: Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm, or whenever you need to leave!
(Note: some people may be arriving as early as 6-6:30p, so if you plan to come early, post so you can meet up with other Nanoers)

There is a couch and a couple of tables on the right-hand side of the store that we usually "take over" so if you're new, check that area out first. I'll try to remember to bring a sign, etc. Our first meeting should be November 3rd.

We also tend to throw a "Finishing Day" party which runs until midnight on the 30th.

Van!! Good to hear from you. Welcome back!! I still haven't used that NaNo carpool serial killer plot yet. Just saying...

For those of you who haven't yet Van, he's a longtime WriMo and a great guy. Really.

I'm gonna try to make it Tuesday, but weekends would be easier for me too.

Hey Diann, thanks. I emailed you with this to add to the Calendat, so hopefully you got that.

As for a weekend meet, we have several people who are interested in a Sunday gathering, so chosen due to the fact that the Coffee Depot at the Plaza is pretty packed and full of live entertainment on Saturday evenings.

Would a Sunday afternoon/evening be ideal for people? I cannot always make a Sunday meeting, which is why I'm a bit hesitant to organize one, but if someone knows they'll always be there, I'm content to schedule it.

Yay can't wait for more Riverside write-ins! Everyone's really great and welcoming. Tuesdays or weekends are good for me so whichever the majority says I'm game.

By the way, I'm Katie and I'm sure I'll be seeing some of you folks at the write-ins :)

We will be having a SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST write-in at the Coffee Depot linked above (at the Riverside Plaza Mall) for anyone interested in a little push to get started, 4pm-6pm (or later~ basically until people need/want to leave, though I think they have an event at 7pm anyway).

There is also an interest in a weekend gathering, so if you're interested in a weekly Sunday event, please come to this Sunday event so we can discuss who might show up again in the future on Sundays! I cannot always promise I will be there for Sunday events, so we need someone who is willing to show up every Sunday. This is a great time to sort out who, what, when and why, etc.

HOPE TO SEE YOU ON SUNDAY!

Here: http://www.coffeedepot.tv/calendar/

Is a list of the events they'll be having for November. The ones in brown are for events at the plaza.

I will definitely be there this Sunday! I hope others can make it as well :D

WHOOT!! Yes for Plaza write-ins, since I live a total of 3 minutes from the Plaza now <3 AND I have Tuesdays completely off for the entirety of November, so I'll probably be over at Coffee Depot as early as 4ish.

I don't know if I'll be able to make the write-ins every Sunday (I'll definitely be at the first one) because I also go to the Pomona Valley write-ins that are on Sundays, but I'll definitely try!

At some point on a weekend(s) I'll be offering my house for a write-in, so more details to come as November progresses!

Can't wait to see the old crowd and a bunch of new faces!

Great to see so many new faces are likely to be showing up. I'll just say that I'm a short (5'7") youngish looking guy and I'll try to wear a loud Hawai'ian shirt so I'm easy to spot. I may bring a sign as well, and will definitely have a huge laptop to over compensate for my shortness. XD Just so you know what to look for!

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow and/or Tuesday!

I'll probably be at Coffee Depot around 2 or so (hopefully with my little sign we made last year). I'll be the girl with an HP laptop, brown hair, and a green shirt covered with brightly colored mushrooms. Please don't be afraid to come up and talk to me! I promise I don't bite ;)

(And don't be like justintk and puckoverdrive who sat at the table next to us making comments and such for TWO WEEKS before introducing themselves as fellow WriMos. LOL. We're really not scary people, I promise! *crosses fingers behind back*)

Boo!

Tuesday is the ONE NIGHT I'm not available!

We must do something to remedy this. I'll see what I can work out.

Hey all, thanks for the great turn out tonight. It was great to see so many new faces as well as all the familiar ones. :) Looks like we've decided to have weekly Sunday meetings from 4-6pm as well, for those of you who can't make Tuesdays or are just super social or really like sitting in coffee houses. I'll have Diann add that to the calendar.

I know that at least one member got someone to give them a ride home tonight, and another who has issues with taking the bus/time scheduling, so if you're willing to carpool or give rides to other wrimoers, please consider offering.

Anyway I had a great first day and I hope we didn't scare any of the new writers off! Hope to see all or more of you on Tuesday!

Sundays are perfect! Not this Sunday because I have a private Write-In that weekend, but surely after that. My bus schedule permits it as well. Hope to see ya on Sunday then c:

Hope to meet some Nanos :)

Okay, looks like Tuesday nights at the Coffee Depot are Open Mic night... oops! We're relocating to the left side of the coffee shop for now (by the bathroom) but if it gets too loud/crowded tonight, we may have to schedule for Wednesday or Thursday meets instead, or find another location. (One member suggested we check out the Border's coffee shop across the street, so that's got potential as well.)

will keep you all posted.

Okay, HEAD'S UP my Wrimoers! Due to scheduling issues with the Coffee Depot, the TUESDAY write ins are having a slight change in location. Instead of meeting at the Coffee Depot we will be meeting at the cafe in Borders across the street from the Coffee Depot.. New address:

3615 Riverside Plaza Drive
Riverside, CA 92506

http://www.borders.com/online/store/StoreDetailView_656

They do have free wifi as well. Sorry for the short notice change, but these things happen.

The SUNDAY write ins are still taking place at Coffee Depot from 4-6pm (or whenever people want to leave.)

Not as much as you do, Diann! I take it this means I don't need to email you this info? I was actually in the middle of composing an email to you with the updated info, when I thought I'd better check the board first to see if you'd commented!
